Hahaha

Having lost the debate about whether or not the current O'BomberCare bills in Congress would give health insurance to illegal aliens; O'Bomber has retooled for a different kind of attack.

Now, O'Bomber wants to give illegal aliens "amnesty" SO he can also give them O'BomberCare health insurance.

I have to wonder where the dunderheads were when the American public jumped all over the "Amnesty for illegal aliens" issue just a few short years ago and scared the hell out of politicians of both parties.

It seems O'Bomber is really a dunce. Only 42% of Americans agree with O'Bomber on O'BomberCare and 55% oppose.

Gee, I wonder what the numbers would look like if O'Bomber tries to give illegal aliens BOTH amnesty AND O'BomberCare insurance.

I also wonder how many demoscats are willing to march straight off the cliff with O'Bomber and go straight to political hell...which is located anywhere that isn't Washington DC.

Perhaps O'Bomber and his Socialist friends in Congress believe Americans have forgotten all about La Raza...which means..The Race. Perhaps they think images of La Raza members marching in the streets of America with Mexican flags and flying Mexican flags on US Post Office flagpoles are forgotten by Americans.

Or perhaps these clowns think Americans have forgetten that La Raza and their even more radical sister group have plans to rip the America Southwest away from the United States and cede it back to Mexico...or establish a new country in what is now the American Southwest.

Obama: Legalize illegals to get them health careRate this story
Republicans see a backdoor move toward 'amnesty'
By Stephen Dinan

President Obama said this week that his health care plan won't cover illegal immigrants, but argued that's all the more reason to legalize them and ensure they eventually do get coverage.

He also staked out a position that anyone in the country legally should be covered - a major break with the 1996 welfare reform bill, which limited most federal public assistance programs only to citizens and longtime immigrants.

"Even though I do not believe we can extend coverage to those who are here illegally, I also don't simply believe we can simply ignore the fact that our immigration system is broken," Mr. Obama said Wednesday evening in a speech to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute. "That's why I strongly support making sure folks who are here legally have access to affordable, quality health insurance under this plan, just like everybody else.

Mr. Obama added, "If anything, this debate underscores the necessity of passing comprehensive immigration reform and resolving the issue of 12 million undocumented people living and working in this country once and for all."

Republicans said that amounts to an amnesty, calling it a backdoor effort to make sure current illegal immigrants get health care.

"It is ironic that the president told the American people that illegal immigrants should not be covered by the health care bill, but now just days later he's talking about letting them in the back door," said Rep. Lamar Smith of Texas, the top Republican on the Judiciary Committee.

"If the American people do not want to provide government health care for illegal immigrants, why would they support giving them citizenship, the highest honor America can bestow?" Mr. Smith said.

But immigrant rights groups see the speech as a signal that Mr. Obama is committed to providing health care coverage for anyone in the United States legally, regardless of their citizenship status.

"It's the first time I've certainly heard, publicly, him talking more about legal immigrants," said Eric Rodriguez, vice president for research and advocacy at the National Council of La Raza (NCLR). "I think that was certainly positive progress. We were absolutely concerned about not hearing that."

On Wednesday, hours before Mr. Obama's speech, the NCLR had given the administration a public scolding, demanding that Mr. Obama needed to make "a public commitment ... to ensure that those who are here legally are covered."

A White House spokesman did not respond to questions about where the White House would make the cutoff for eligibility, and Mr. Rodriguez said he's still waiting for an answer from the administration.

"We don't know where they mean to draw the line," he said. "Our biggest concern is that most people don't realize legal immigrants are currently barred from receiving health care benefits for the first five years in the country."

Under the 1996 welfare overhaul, most federal aid programs are restricted to citizens and legal immigrants who have been in the country for at least five years. Democrats have tried this year to chip away at that rule.

Immigration has dogged Mr. Obama in the health care debate. Rep. Joe Wilson, South Carolina Republican, shouted, "You lie," when the president, in an address to Congress last week, said his plans wouldn't cover illegal immigrants.

Lawmakers - who got an earful from constituents back home during August - have insisted on extra checks to make sure illegal immigrants do not have access to taxpayer-funded programs.

Senators have worked on language that would prevent illegal immigrants from buying insurance through a proposed insurance exchange envisioned in the health care reform package.

But the NCLR said that could lead to situations where some members of a family would be covered and others, including children of illegal immigrants, wouldn't be.

Mr. Obama said legalizing illegal immigrants is a way to take the sting out of the entire issue.

But Republicans said by pushing to legalize illegal immigrants, Mr. Obama is signaling that those here illegally eventually will get access to taxpayer-funded benefits.

Still, the push to pass a legalization bill is beginning to gain steam, even as advocates fret that the White House is moving too slowly.

On Thursday, Rep. Luis V. Gutierrez, Illinois Democrat and an outspoken advocate for legalization, agreed to take leadership in writing a new, more generous bill.

"We simply cannot wait any longer for a bill that keeps our families together, protects our workers and allows a pathway to legalization for those who have earned it," Mr. Gutierrez said. "Saying immigration is a priority for this administration or this Congress is not the same as seeing tangible action, and the longer we wait, the more every single piece of legislation we debate will be obstructed by our failure to pass comprehensive reform."

Having "lost" the debate? I guess you missed the fact that there could be no debate. Nowhere in the bill is it stated that illegals would have access to the benefits contained within the bill. How can there be debate when one side clearly has no platform from which to debate?

With regard to legalizing illegals, wouldn't that consist of making them citizens, and in turn wouldn't that subject them to American taxes, which would mean that they would be paying into the same pool of resources as all the rest of us?

O'Bomber has lost the debate on O'BomberCare for illegal aliens, O'BomberCare coverage for abortion and he's going to lose the debate on "Amnesty for illegal aliens" too.

He's lost America and his domestic and foreign policy are sinking demoscat chances for reelection.

"Daily Presidential Tracking Poll
Friday, September 18, 2009

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that 32% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty percent (40%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -8."

"Opposition to the President’s health care plan is up to 56%, the highest total to date. A Rasmussen video report notes that 53% of those with insurance believe they would be forced to change coverage if the proposed health care reform is approved. Forty-eight percent (48%) want to see a prohibition on abortion coverage for any plan involving government subsidies"

heard a story this morning on the radio about a woman who took her republican 81 yr old mom to dinner for her birthday. the mom confided in her that she had left the republican party since it seems to be less and less republican and more and more lunatic fringe. while not willing to go democrat at this point she has become more sympathetic to obama than she was at election time.

just one story obviously not taken in by the schmolls.

No, he didn't. There was and is NO debate. The bill clearly isn't for illegal aliens. That Republicans IMAGINE that the bill is for illegals is rather immaterial, and certainly doesn't constitute having a side in a debate.

The bill(s) currently in Congress did cover insurance for illegal aliens...until language was inserted to specifically exclude coverage for those in the country illegally, at least in the Senate Finance bill.

Now, having lost the debate, O'Bomber wants to make illegals...legal so he can backdoor insurance coverage for them.

I don't know what universe you live in acoustic but the rest of us have witnessed an ongoing debate about O'BomberCare for months...and specifically coverage for illegal aliens and coverage for abortion...not to mention "death panels".

The more Americans find out about O'BomberCare, the more they oppose it.

i have noticed a lot of people shrieking about illegal aliens but i have not heard one word defending their right to healthcare coverage here...though if they want to pay for it and they are here - thanks guys!

the fact that they are illegal is enough. anyone being found here illegally will be deported, so what's the beef?

if they pretend to be someone else then it is on that other person's watch and taxes. a lot of those illegals are assuming LEGAL names and SS#s and therefore paying taxes for services they will never collect on. nor will they get any social security, but the person whose ticket they are working on will.

I don't know that I've seen the Senate finance bill if it's different than HR 3200, but the bill I have seen, and linked to contained no inference that illegals would be eligible for any benefits within the bill. Being as that bill has been the subject of the most debate, I still fail to see where any Republican can claim to have had a footing. Even your Ann Coulter weighed in on 3200, and it was complete nonsense. She said that illegals were only disallowed in that particular subsection. Untrue. No where in the document are illegals specifically given any rights.

Now, I've already commented regarding making illegals legal. That would mean making them proper citizens in which case they'd pay taxes like all the rest of us, and we wouldn't be paying for illegals. We'd be paying for citizens as they would be paying for themselves. Hopefully everyone is rational enough to see through this nonsense, because that's all it is.

There's a lot of rational people in the US acoustic but you're not one of them.

We saw them rip the skin off their reps and Senators at town hall meetings over O'BomberCare and a variety of other issues about which they're pi$$ed. Nothing has changed their minds. In fact, O'BomberCare has the lowest level of support it's ever had and so does this demoscat congress.

Get you acoustic.

You actually expected to see this kind of language in the O'BomberCare bill?

'Without regard to any other provisions of law, all persons in the United States are eligible for health care insurance coverage under any of the provisions of this Act.'

There's no reason whatsoever to reward those who do not respect the United States and it's citizens enough to respect the borders and laws of the United States. Up theirs. It's interesting to see there are some here who don't respect US law and US borders any more than illegal aliens do.

They're exactly the kind of "accidential Americans" I've said they are.

O'Bomber is going to have a real fight on his hands if he attempts to give citizenship...Amnesty to illegal aliens.

The demoscat party is toast if they attempt to ram Amnesty through the Congress.

Illegal aliens can avoid paying taxes for work they do here by going home.

whats your point jwhops?

border problems or lack of healthcare reform support? and i am curious why it matters how many percent of the poeple support the issue it or not...who cares? bush had the lowest support ratings of practically any president ever..who cares? he didn't. if he had cared we wouldn't still be in iraq choking on sand air now would we?

if they pay taxes give them bennies. that simple.

What's the point?

The point is that illegal aliens should not be rewarded with US citizenship for violating US law, disrespecting US borders and disrespecting the sovereignty of the United States over US territory.

That's the point...SO, why don't you get it?

Tell you what. How about this?

The United States invades Mexico, overthrows the Mexican government and all it's laws, annexes Mexico to the United States, imposes US law over all Mexican territory and it's citizens and THEN makes all Mexican citizens US citizens.

Then, O'Bomber can give O'BomberCare to FORMER Mexican citizens.

back up a few years and that is exactly what the mexicans say happened!

but because its a fait accompli we're not supposed to recognize their claims.

i don't know about your folks, jwhop, but most white folk came here uninvited and pushed the native population aside...my own irish ancestors stowed away on a boat to get here, so they didn't even pay their fare!

we were all illegal at one time or another.

Obviously, the Mexicans don't know what they're talking about katatonic.

It seems to me there is a government in Mexico...no matter how corrupt...which isn't controlled by the United States or US policy.

I know you must be totally ignorant about the Treaty of Guadalupe Hildalgo and the Gadsden Purchase.

You might want to clear up that ignorance before commenting further on "what is Mexican land and what is US land".

If you were to check further, you would find the US purchased a larger tract of land from France...known as the Louisiana Purchase for $11.5 million. In fact, the US paid Mexico more for the land under the Treaty of Guadalupe Hildalgo....$15 million in gold and the assumption of an additional 3 million in debt owed by Mexico to US citizens...than paid to France for the Louisiana Purchase.

There is no basis for biiatching on the part of Mexico..or you...over the American Southwest.

you know nothing of the sort. you brought up annexing mexico, not i! all i said was, we have already annexed a large part of what WAS mexico, i didn't say it was right or wrong. but there is bad feeling about it for sure. on both sides of the "fence".

what you DON'T seem to get is there are larger forces at work than individual countries here (lol i almost wrote companies) - ie, transnational corporations, and the WTO, WHO etc. and the americas are slated to become ONE section of the new world order.

now whether obama agrees with that or not it was PUT IN PLACE BEFORE HIS TERM and he has to DEAL with it one way or another. as will we all. just like he has to deal with the military-industrial complex which seeks endless war to fuel its engine room and profit center and which, in the name of profit is syphoning off trillions of dollars from our economy that could be taking care of all our messed-up business. and i am NOT talking about soldiers on the ground, but the corporate head of the beast...

I brought up annexing Mexico...only in the context of making Mexican nationals US citizens and if illegal aliens are to be made US citizens that's the only way it should happen.
