Nope... I was wondering if anyone in the UK saw the film/documentary... The War You Don't See..
Some very credible journalists basically describing attacks on Iraq, Palestine etc as war crimes...
Some very graphic images etc. but I had this argument with people about two years ago, that there was an illegal war happening with Palestine and Iraq. It just completely floors me that some people refuse to see it or at least question the validity of war on another country that does not have anywhere near the same military capability.

Anyway did you watch it Emitres? The link above gives you direct access to watch it online

You obviously didn't watch the video. It was not an appeal.
It is a series of interviews, from one journalist to other journalists, to a US media historian, CIA analysist, news anchors,US assistant secretary of defence, weapons analysist, etc. Plenty of credible evidence from American sources.

Your video says...and I quote, "Sorry, this video is only available to be viewed in the United Kingdom....

The other video..which I watched, was a straight appeal to the emotions and totally unbalanced as to content.

For instance, the video didn't mention that Hamas terrorists have committed more than 200 war crimes against Israel..so far this year. Didn't mention that Hamas and other terrorists use the surrounding countries to construct tunnels through which they smuggle arms...but not much in the way of food. Didn't mention that the so called camps are actually under the jurisdiction and control of the feckless, incompetent, corrupt and utterly brain dead United Nations. Didn't mention that Hamas terrorists...and other Islamic terrorists use children and schools as cover from which to launch unguided rockets at Israeli cities in hope of a counter strike in which it's hoped children will be killed.

You're hooked up with a very nice groups there LTT.

I realised that you might not be able to view the video so I sent a you tube link of it...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egcTynu6sBk
Can you see this?

The other video, yes was an emotional appeal to people's senses!

By the way I am Quinnie not LTT, although I don't mind if you want to continue calling me LTT, as she is a pretty cool person. It's really up to yourself, how you prefer it.

It depends on how you view Hamas, are they freedom fighters or terrorists?
Freedom fighters defend their people's freedom with force if need be, whereas terrorists terrorise other countries, well that's what I believe. It seems they are both?
Palestine and the Palestinian people are being imprisoned, denied basic freedom, under military rule, to me that substantiates repressed force with the implication of biassed control of a whole country of people. Now if you were under that kind of restriction and sanction, would you sit back and willingly comply?
More importantly do the terrorists in Palestine exist because of a lack of good leadership?
Is the same also true for Israel? When war comes down to the land rather than the people on it then there can be assumption made that the bigger force or threat would not be beyond wiping out all the people on the land that they want... Or at least it might seem that way, and like a very real threat to the Palestinian people.

I actually do not agree with the tactics employed by Hamas, but you cannot sum up a whole people by a minority group, which is something quite a lot of people do.
The only solution seems to be real talking and negotiation with Hamas, and taking down the blockade.

With regards to the video, I simply do not agree with the bloodshed of innocents.
As quoted from the 'War you don't see'...

The First world war saw 10 % of people killed as civilians
The second world war, saw 50% of people killed as civilians
The Vietnam war saw 70%
The Iraq war saw 90% of fatalities as civilians.

With all the high tech planes, trains and auto mobiles, and sophisticated war strategies the army now employs, how is it that so many innocent people die?

Is it because they give control of apache gun ships to 22 year old men who are way too trigger happy and negligent in their duties?
Or because emotionally scarred young men and women carry out water boarding and other hard interrogation techniques to 'possible' terrorists? Perhaps we should rename that 'potential terrorist'...aren't we all one of those?

What about the innocent American citizens the Isreali's kill? Why don't you do some research on Rachel Corrie.

Oh, I know all about Rachel Corrie littlecloud.

I didn't bring up Rachel Corrie because the circumstances surrounding her death and circumstances surrounding the killing of innocent Israeli citizens are totally dissimilar.

On the one hand, the death of Rachel Corrie was an accident...if you believe that walking in front of a moving bulldozer...deliberately is an accident.

AND the deliberate, intentional acts of Palestinian terrorists in firing rockets into Israel to kill civilian Israeli citizens..deliberately.

Rachel Corrie reminds me of the human shields who gave themselves wholeheartedly to protecting the genocidal murderer Saddam Hussein...until they chickened out and decided to not place themselves at high value targets in Iraq just before the war resumed.

I quote from her book:

"Rachel walked to place herself in between the home and the bulldozer. As the bulldozer turned towards them. it had about 20 meters or 10 seconds clear time directly with her in its view to see where she was. It continued toward her at some pace with a mound of earth building up in front of it. And as the mound of earth reached Rachel she obviously felt that in order to keep her balance, to keep her footing she had to climb on to the mound of earth to prevent being overwhelmed by it. When she did this it put her head and shoulders clearly above the top of the bulldozer blade and therefore clearly in the view of the bulldozer driver, so he knew absolutely that she was there.

She falls down the mound of earth and out of sight of the driver; so has essentially pushed her forward down the mound of earth. And then she starts to slide and then you see one then both of her feet disappear and he simply continued until she was, or the place where she had been, was directly beneath the cockpit of the bulldozer. They waited a few seconds then withdrew leaving his scoop on the ground. Only later when it was much clear of her body did it raise its scoop.

I ran for an ambulance, she was gasping ad her face was covered in blood from a gash cutting her face from to lip to cheek. She was showing signs of brain hemorrhaging. She died in the ambulance a few minutes later."

So not only did the driver deliberately run her over he backed up over her and just stayed there. These are the people you support?
