Hope you all can see this one. You may have to have FB or Twitter for access but let me know if you can't I will try to figure it out. For the dial-ups I will explain more soonIt talks about a survey of 90,000 people, plus senators and congressmen, and compares the responsiveness of the two main parties to the wealthy, the middle class, and the poor. You may be surprised. http://www.upworthy.com/the-eye-opening-study-every-american-needs-to-see?c=cp2 IP: Logged |

Basically, Juni, it's a recap of a survey of 90K people over several congresses (107th - 111th that is since 2001 through 2011) It was found that NEITHER party responds to the wishes of the poor. Both parties respond most to the wishes of the wealthy and the Democrats are SOMETIMES prone to respond to the needs of the middle class. However the Dems actually respond MORE to the wealthy's requirements than the Repubs... And the whole thing when seen with hindsight basically looks as if the Dems "pushback" on the Republican move to the right is less and less left-leaning, so the whole Washington spectrum has been moving to the right since 2001 at least. He explains it better than I. IP: Logged |
