http://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2020/06/11/politics/milley-trump-appearance-mistake/index.html

This is Gen Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. apologizing for walking to church with his President and Commander in Chief. He expressed his "outrage" over the killing of George Floyd and affirmed the protests were a result of "centuries of injustice to African Americans." The general's prerecorded vid was sent to graduating students of the National Defense University.

Looks like one of those old Vietnam War era POW vids. Maybe the gen was friends with McCain, I dont know. Anyway, the new recruits have been given their marching orders.

http://thehill.com/policy/defense/502218-senate-panel-votes-to-require-pentagon-to-rename-bases-named-after?amp&__twitter_impression=true

"The Republican-led Senate Armed Services Committee has approved an amendment to the annual defense policy bill that would require the Pentagon to rename bases and other assets that are named after Confederate military leaders, a source confirmed to The Hill.

The amendment, offered by Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), was approved by voice vote Wednesday during the committee's closed-door markup of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), the source familiar with the situation said. The amendment would give the Pentagon three years to remove the Confederate names"

President Trump says that's not going to happen.

http://americanmilitarynews.com/2020/06/petraeus-army-base s-named-for-traitor-confederate-leaders-should-be-renamed/

Here is another US general. This is General Petraeus, former commander of US forces in Afghanistan and former Director of the CIA. Impressive credentials!

He believes destroying Confederate statues is the "forceful will of the people." He also suggests that renaming these "rebel forts" will be no biggie once they are "stripped of the obscuring power of tradition and folklore"

The obscuring power of tradition.

I don't know but that sounds maybe like Year Zero. Maybe something to do with Blind Writer's quote

Here's Ryan McCarthy. He is a former US Army Ranger and current Secretary of the Army. Also impressive credentials! He says he is open to renaming US bases. Just last February is said he was not. At that time he appears to have understood the Confederate names were used "in the spirit of reconciliation", and that Confederate soldiers, per President Andrew Johnson, were no longer considered traitors.

Wonder what made him change his mind?

Maybe he is just playing nice?

Jeez looks like even the Secretary of Defense, Mark Esper.
http://www.stripes.com/news/us/esper-army-secretary-open-to-renaming-10-posts-named-for-confederate-generals-1.632943

Esper is a West Point grad, Army officer, former Sec of the Army and Chief of Staff at the conservative think tank The Heritage Foundation. Super good repub cred there too.

So many accomplished and respected military leaders playing nice. Kinda makes you think.

If the 'Generals' want to get into a slug-fest with President Trump, I'm pretty sure he will accommodate them. They'll find themselves occupying the cheap seats, not the Pentagon.

May be best anyway. Time to clear out the dead wood promoted by the Marxist Messiah, Obama.

Very funny

But last time I checked, those generals all report to Trump...except for those he's already cashiered.

2 Generals don't Trump a President.

Here's Gen Martin Dempsey, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, who says Trump's threat to use military force on rioters is "troubling" and "dangerous." He says the protest were "mostly peaceful."

Apparently he's not into that "enemies foreign AND DOMESTIC" thing because he says the military should be used for "conflict in external wars."

ofc he doesnt like the idea of military personnel involving themselves in politics, but gosh darnnit, he just couldnt "sit on the sidelines" anymore.

Another West Pointer. huh

One of many within the highest ranks. Some of whom promoted by Pres Trump.

Meanwhile, I see the Supreme Court is playing nice today.
