There is this person I met a long time ago and I realized we're going through the same things at the same time. It's downright eerie. Unimportant facts:
- We were born the same year, same country (not big deal).
- We both moved around a lot as kids.
- Our parents had the same occupation.
- Our mothers look alike.
- We both transferred to foreign high schools the same year.
Coincidences before we met:
2009 - We both moved abroad for college at the exact same time to follow the exact same type of course (not same subject though)in the same (very small) college.
Christmas 2011 - 3rd year of college for both of us, I was contemplating dropping out of the college (I had one semester left, so did they) because I had enough of it and told my parents who knocked some sense into me. Turns out that person their parents they were dropping out of college during Christmas 2011. They had started thinking of it in September 2011 and so did I. I annoyed my parents with this so-called decision. They dropped out, I didn't.
2012 - After that person dropped out of college, they started working in a part of the town I had just moved to after Christmas. I used to hang out there every day.
2012 - That person later transferred to another part of the town which I ended up moving to right about the same time they got transferred.
2012/2013 - That person's ex was in my college class and I had no clue until after we met!
I didn't know about all this obviously until we met and they told me their life story. The whole time I was like "me too". After we met, the coincidences got stronger:
November 2013 - Last year/this year was a mess. We both got involved with people who were already involved with other people (both of them have been involved for 4 years, and are both 28). The "relationships" took place in November for both of us and lasted a month in both cases. We both broke up with them because they wouldn't leave their partners.
February 2013 - Then, that person quit their job 1 day after I did quit mine for the exact same reasons!
April 2014 - Subsequently, none of us could find a job so we had to move back home at the same time! I told my friends I was leaving the country the day before they announced they announced their departure. They ended their lease a week before I did end mine.
September 2014 - Following that, I took the decision to finally stop acting like a kid and focus on my studies from scratch. Next thing I know, this person is telling everyone they're going back to college.
July 2014 - We both locked our Twitter accounts on the same day. I locked mine and when I went to check his later that day, he had locked it. (We weren't even following each other as he wasn't aware I had one which was under a nickname).
September 2014 - I decided to take the NY Bar Exam next February and the day after I started my registration process, I found out that person was moving to NY.
This is very bizarre. This person and I have no contact at all, we're not speaking yet whenever I make a decision, I always happen to hear they made a similar decision days after.
How bizarre is this? Has it ever happened to you?
