A few days ago I noticed the tell tale signs that his time was near. He is old and I saw that his eyes were shut and he was having a lot of trouble moving around, so I started spending more time with him for closure. The problem is he has been barely clinging to life for a few days now and it is very clear to me that he is afraid to die. He also keeps finding the strength to crawl to the side of the cage and position himself to where I can see him. I keep getting him out to hold him and comfort him in my hands in the hopes that it might help him let go and pass on but he is a stubborn little guy. It's breaking my heart to see him suffering. Please send him positive energy and love. 💕

I am truly sad about this😭
You do not need more sorrow in your life😢
May his passing be gentle and peaceful💙🙏
What kind of creature is he❓
How old❓

He's a hamster. He's around a year and a half in age. They usually live about two years give or take. But Frosty's passing is hitting me especially hard because he is one of my animal soulmates if that makes sense. I'm very attached to him and love him so much. I can tell he doesn't want to die and he keeps wanting me to hold him so I'm spending as much time with him as I can.

Frosty is such a special soul. I have told people that he is the best hamster I've ever had and it will kill me when he dies. They seem perplexed and ask how he is different from any other hamsters. He has clung to life for days. He's just barely breathing. I thought for sure he wouldn't make it through the day two days ago. He is completely out of it. Just sort of twitching. But he still responds positively to being held and petted. He makes the happy hamster noises when I hold and love him.

I know exactly how you feel😭
When my precious fourteen years old
tiger boy was dying he held on and I
had to feed and water him with
a medicine dropper😭
He lost more than 2/3 his weight
and his ability to walk and
then his hair all fell out and
this all took place fast horribly fast
over just a week or so😭👽
I wanted to die and here I am 2 years
after his death having
the same exact sudden symptoms that
he was having
yet the doctors say there is
no connection👽
I lost over 100 pounds mysteriously
soon after he died and
my hair 4 and half feet long
began falling out suddenly and
mysteriously
just like his did and I can barely
walk at all most of the time👽
Doctors still say there
is no connection👽
I pretty much went bald long before the chemotherapy two years after his death👽
He still purred every day and
showed so much love even though he could barely move😭
He lost the ability to hold my fingers
in his cat fingers about an hour
before he died
but was still being cuddly even
though weak and smiling at the sunshine😭
He was oddly still bright eyed and smiling sweetly for 2 hours that morning before he
died resting😭 on my beloved husband's chest
his favorite napping place after he was fed a wee bit of cat milk❤️
It still hurts so damn bad and now I wonder
if that is why I am struggling to live and have the same exact symptoms as he had😭👽
My apologies for ranting on about my sweet precious cat😭
Try not to let this eat you alive💙
I lost much of my will to go on when my precious beloved Dev died👽😭
Bawling my head off here as
I am typing here to you😭😭😭
I do not know if my symptoms are related
to his death and his sudden illness too
but it seems rather strange to say
the least👽😭
Try not to give in to your sorrow
as I have done when my tiger baby died😭💙
I struggle with it every day and the
pain of losing him is something
I do not know if I will ever be able
to cope with😭
I have never told anyone all of this ever👽
I shall delete my post if you want me to
delete it💙
Give your precious Frosty all
the love and comfort that you
can so that his passing is gentle💙
Then please
take care of yourself aquaguy91💙

Thanks Lexx. It's sad when all your pets die but there are some that definitely get into your heart. Frosty was one that definitely got into my heart.

Yes very very sad indeed😢💙
Bless you aquaguy91 ❤️
Thank you for understanding💙
Yes some pets are more than just a pet❤️
Some are literally soul deep companions
no matter how small
or large❤️
Devarim was my support cat❤️
When I would be going through severe
neurological dysfunctional episodes
that had the potential to be deadly
if I was not awakened in time👽😳
he would wake me up if I was not lying correctly to avoid blindness episodes
and or partial paralysis,
and or even death😳👽
He just knew instinctively when
I needed to be woke up and needed
to make me move into safer positions
or check my vitals etcetera❤️
He did the same for my husband and could
let us know when a dangerous type
seizure was about to happen😳👽
He would stay lying on my husband's
chest and then would knead him deeply literally doing massaging on my husband's chest and shoulders and purred loudly until my husband would come out of the episode❤️
Devarim was about 22 pounds so he could really lay on some good kneading healing massages❤️
I miss my tiger boy so much💙😭❤️

Is Frosty at least resting ok💙
Are you going to be ok❓💙

Thanks for your story. Frosty wouldn't fully let go unless I was holding him. I'm grateful that I got to spend quality time with him at the end even though it was hard to see him go. It was definitely bittersweet.

You gave him his favorite place to gently slip away💙
In your hands he knew he would
be able to go gently and not need to
worry about you💙

Your Frosty felt your deep love for him
and did not want to leave you💙😢
I am glad he was finally able to let himself surrender softly and gently into his final resting whilst in the warmth of your hand💙
Thank you every so muchly
for letting me share my
love and grief story here about
my precious Devarim💙

Bless you dear aquaguy91 💙❤️

Frosty definitely had a supernatural purity about him. I think that's why losing him has been so hard for me. He was one of a kind.
