yes, I've been thinking a lot about them lately .... but really don't have much idea of where to start. Groping in the dark, if the truth be told.

I love Fixed Stars THIS MUCH...*spreads arms wide*.

Place to start is with the main ones. Check the 'add fixed stars' box in the astrodienst extended chart selection and it'll pretty much do all the work for you and plop all the main ones in there at once.

These sites list all the fixed stars and the meanings assigned to them.
http://www.astrologycom.com/fixedstars.html
http://www.constellationsofwords.com/Fixedstars.htm

Then there's the paran method, which I admittedly don't know much about; I started a thread here once about it and it sank like a rock lmao.

I have many on Significant places like the most favored one on my Sun--Betalguese.

I seem to be studying the charts of sociopaths and wanting to understand them. I know Algol and some of the 'bad" fixed stars are important here.
Without the fixed stars, I am missing something in these charts.

If anyone wants to take a Fixed star and do a thread, that would be great!

That's actually not true. Tons of people have stuff aspecting Algol or other so-called 'malevolent' fixed stars and aren't sociopaths.

That aside, supposedly the most positive fixed star is Spica, not Betelguese. Spica is even known as "The Fortunate One".

Ami, do you have their time of birth? Do you mind putting up one of their charts on personal readings so that I could take a look?

Ami,

spica/Arcturus is on 24 Libra, and has really been considered being the most fortunate one by the ancient astrologers; it even plays a role in horary, as a very positive omen.

That is not to say that there are not others positive stars as well.

So your Sun is on Betelgeuze.
Did you ever feel drawn to ORION?

I have felt madly drawn to that starconstellation, which has always been right over our house in december, since I was a kid. It was actually what got me into studying the stars, I was so fascinated with it.

And then it turns out that my asteroid KARMA is right on Rigel. LOL

Ami, I am going to do Regulus, I've studied it quite a bit since it conjuncts my ASC and South Node exactly and is opposite my NN.

I don't know anything about it, Ceri. I will look it up. I feel very drawn to fixed stars, now.

The sociopaths, you mean? No, I can't. It is private. I have several who are friends.

Yeah there are - actually there's a ton of them that are mostly positive in meaning, Spica is by no means the only one. But usually when people ask 'which one is the most positive?' the first answer you'll hear is Spica.

BTW I have the book on fixed stars by Bernadette Brady. I do not understand half of it, but if anyone is interested in a certain planet and degree I can look it up.

I have it conjunct my moon and my life hasn't been perfect. At the same time it hasn't been an arduous hell, either.

I will say that most interpretations of Moon conjunct Pluto that I've read don't apply to me at all, and when people with the aspect start describing all these horrific experiences at the hands of their mother, I can never ever relate. Then once I started learning more about the fixed stars, I wonder if that isn't what's responsible for that because I was actually fortunate enough to be blessed with an amazing mother. When I was a teenager we were crossing a street together and she suddenly darted around to the other side of me. I asked her why and she said, "So if a car crashes into us, they'll hit me first and not you."

Nuff said.

I think that is a good description of a positive Moon-Pluto mother. What people sometimes forget that it is not all just manipulation and abuse and whatever, but sometimes Moon-Pluto just describes a mother who will fiercely protect her children; and will do anything to ensure their safety. Even if it means to get herself in danger.

I have a Scorpio mother and she is like that, too. Devoted, loyal and protective to the core.

(I do not have a "real" Moon-Pluto aspect as the trine has an orb of 8 degrees, but Moon is contraparallel Pluto and Pluto opposes IC)

Thanks, Ceri! Could you look up for me: Jup conj Spica in 8H?

PS: You wrote "planet" but now I'm thinking perhaps you meant "star"? Does the book deal with conjunctions/oppositions/etc. to fixed stars as well?
