Latona (639) is the Roman equivalent of Leto, the mother of Apollo and Artemis. Her children are the ones who cemented a new order, therefore I believe she is the one who "births" a new world. Unlike the asteroids of luck and fortune, which seem to always be conjunct the Hollywood celebrities' angles or Sun, Latona rarely appears in such positions. But in the rare cases when it shows up, it is for people who literally changed the world: * Einstein has it conjunct his IC
* Hitler has it conjunct his MC
* George H.W. Bush (who started the first Iraq war) has it conjunct his MC (wider orb 4°44')
* Lady Diana has it conjunct her DESC
* Mark Zuckerberg has it conjunct his ASC (whatever I believe about FB, it drastically changed the world of personal communication).
Also, very wide orbs but still change-bringing personalities:
* Dalai Lama has it in wide conjunction to his ASC (~7°)
* J.K. Rowling has it in wide conjunction to her DESC (~7°) So I believe the place of Latona in a natal chart marks the potential to mother/establish a new order.  IP: Logged |

Eclipse aside, your Mercury conjunction sounds like heaven for communication/associations. At the time of the eclipse, the Sun will be besieged by Mercury and the dwarf MakeMake (communication and writing, possibly with a competitive aspect). Letona conjunct Sun sounds great for a new beginning. If not for the eclipse, I'd schedule that day all discussions and negotiations from your to-do list. You could still do it the next day or the day before.
