How would you interpret this if someone has it in natal? The opposition is from juno cancer to capricorn vesta.

This is a very small aspect in an entire chart, my Friend. I would not even really count it. If you look at thousands of asteroids and try to come to conclusions, your chart will not make clear sense as a whole

Juno Opposite Vesta .. natal aspect

Demetra George & Douglas Bloch c)1986,2003
Asteroid Goddesses-- The Mythology, Psychology and Astrology of the Re-emerging Feminine
Ibis Press
- http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/226538.Asteroid_Goddesses

Aspect ..
page 145-146
The 'focusing principle' {Vesta}
combines with the 'relating urge' {Juno}.

This combination suggests an evolutionary path that begins with the autonomy of the self and ends with a joining together with Others.

Stressful aspects can symbolize a conflict between 'personal' needs and 'relationship' needs.
These people may feel alienated from relationships or may experience isolation within them.
In other instances, they may sacrifice themselves.. for their partners,
OR, become obsessively involved with them.
Sexual domination and control may also exist as part of the interaction.

The resolution of these challenges--
lies in integrating the role of the autonomous individual within the context of a committed partnership.

You didn't include which houses this aspect was in, and, other information that would have leant more meaning. But, that's okay.

I hope that you resonate a bit with what the book said, and find it helpful.

Take Care!

ref. Asteroid Goddesses, George&Bloch continued

Vesta Capricorn H2
Juno Cancer H8

Vesta in the Second House p.139
represents dedication to generating resources to provide for and support oneself and/or loved ones.
One may experience limitations in money, comfort, and sensuality so that pressure will be brought to learn the skill of manifesting.

Vesta in Capricorn p.138
[these] individuals work best in a structured and disciplined fashion.
The work effort is often motivated by personal ambition and the drive to succeed.
The ability to formulate and execute plans leads to success in administrative work.
Yet Vesta in Capricorn's strict adherence to rules and regulations can denote excessive rigidity in the individual.
The presence of commitment and honor in the relationship is often necessary for sexual fulfillment.
These individuals may fear sexual intimacy and emotional involvement if they associate it with criticism, judgement, or loss of power or control.
Discipline is marked, and great attainments can be reached.
These people expect success through "paying their dues" (obliging the system).

Juno in Cancer p.171
[these] people desire emotional closeness and nurturing from their relationship.
Sharing food as ritual and a strong emphasis on home life are essential.
Moodiness, withdrawal, clinging, and dependent behavior arise when these emotional needs are not secured.

Juno in the Eighth House p.174
[these] individuals thrive on the intensity of emotional peak experiences in their relationship.
Partners often put each other through continual changes and transformations.
The most important relationship interactions will concern mutual finances and possessions, as well as the issues of trust, power, and sexuality.
