To me Acacia (8652)refers to being innocent, blameless, to be immortalized, to be protected, treat as a child, a more archaic possibility, Virginity etc.

Info:
"The Acacia is used as a symbol in Freemasonry, to represent purity and endurance of the soul, and as funerary symbolism signifying resurrection and immortality."

In Egyptian mythology the Acacia tree has been associated with characteristics of the tree of life, such as in the Myth of Osiris and Isis.
On another note various species of Acacia have been used in the past as Psychedelic drug otherwise known as hallucinogens,

My take on this asteroid involves examples of Celebrities that have gotten past laws and restrictions that would have otherwise left a normal person in jail imprisoned for their actions.

Roman Polanski - If your a film buff you'll know who he is

He has Acacia in Aries
sq his MC in Cancer 4 orbs, and sq Don Quixote(3552) in Cancer 1 orb = connection to possible romantic idealism or disillusionment to reality ex. Don Quixote thought he was slaying Giants, saving damsels while riding a majestic steed. He was really fights windmills on the back of a Donkey.

Sq Pluto in Cancer exact
sQ His Moon in Cancer Dom. 1 orb
Acacia trine Sun in Leo Dom. 1 orb = He plead not guilty to his charges involving a young girl.

Acacia opp Mars in libra detri.1 orb
opp Hebe in Libra widely 9 orbs but this asteroid is trine his Saturn tightly possibly signifying the return to the being confronted for his crime.
Saturn returned to the same place it was when he first fled the country to avoid being arrested when he was caught.

Acacia quintile Saturn in Aquarius exact = the blameless factor, generational influence his film genius overshadowing his flaws in the eyes of some people.
Acacia conjunct Uranus in Aries 3 orbs
Sextile Black Moon Lilith (additional options)exact
conjunct Ceres 1 orb
Juno opp Acacia 5 orbs

Now obviously he wasn't "blameless" or "innocent" but he still gets a pass in society receiving only 2 months in jail and leaving on bail. He was released from jail on condition of a house arrest, confined to his Alpine chalet in Gstaad and wearing an ankle bracelet.

Lindsey Lohan
Has Acacia in Virgo trine her Mars 1 orb= possibly connected to adrenaline and accidents at least within transits are connected mars. The number of times she has gotten into a car accident and the degree of not being punished for her actions the way a normal person would.

Acacia conjunct Ceres in Virgo exact= probably refers to her relationship with her mother; defends her maternal figure to the end despite the very public fights broadcast by the media.

Acacia opposite Jupiter 4 orbs = fortune directly aligned with the "blameless" effect of Acacia not being accountable for her actions directly effecting her career/fortune.

On a lighter note :

From Markandrewholmes.com/asteroid
:The word "acacia" comes from the Greek akakia, meaning "nothing bad." It is the Greek word for the Biblical shittah, a tree which hasn't been positively identified but which was probably the acacia; it furnished the wood from which the Hebrew tabernacle was made. The acacia was a symbol of honor, triumph, life, resurrection and innocence. It was the custom among the ancient Hebrews to plant an acacia branch upon the grave of a relative and for mourners at funerals to carry acacia branches. So Christians say when they accept the worship of Jesus that they are "born again."

"It is innocence that seems to be the primary meaning of asteroid Acacia; naivete, being blameless, purity, to be protected, to make allowances for, treat as a child and also, sex having the unjust "dirty" connotations that it has in ancient puritanical thought which remain widely adhered to, virginity."

In another way this Acacia could be used as pointed out by Mark Andrew Holmes website :
"Brooke Shields, who famously showed off her body in Calvin Klein jeans ads("Nothing comes between me and my Calvins") and in Seventies and Eighties movies such as Pretty Baby (in which she played a 12-year-old prostitute), Endless Love, and The Blue Lagoon, saved herself for the marriage bed. Her Acacia is in the ninth house and prominent, conjunct the Sun and Jupiter, as well as Nessus and Hylonome, and also squares Uranus and the Vertex and trines the Part of Fortune."

I wonder does anyone else see a pattern with this Asteroid within the context of innocent, being blameless, protected or to make allowances for? Actually after a second thought, the asteroid could signify how a person could be immortalized in the public's eye. update later

Thank you for your research ail~ been meaning to look into Acacia for awhile now, but hadn't gotten around to it.

Acacia and Debussy are the only asteroids I have (~exact) conjunct to my 7° Descendant node in Pisces. (the next nearest points/bodies are "Natural Apogee" Lilith and Bilkis, Echion, and Tukmit) (0° cnj Acacia)

I'm not sure really what that means being opposite Ascendant, it only makes wide trine to Saturn (Eros-Ishtar) in Scorpio (6° orb, pretty wide) and a 3° square to Uranus (Nefertiti-Niobe) (& 7° wide to Venus) in Sagittarius.

The most direct contact it makes are

7° sextile Capricorn:
Arete (excellence/virtue, Greek personification of...) Amazone Kaali Imperatrix Medusa (Greek myth; "wisest") Dodona (prophetess, lit "chanting/murmuring" speaking in tongues)

7° sextile Taurus:
Sedna~ (Inuit myth) Waldemath DM (Lilith) Unitas Amenemhet (Egyptian pharaohs) Jokaste (Greek, from Oedipus myth possibly meaning "pure omen")

7° opposition Virgo:
Kolga (Norse mythos) Khama (Kama, lust/sexual demon-god) (ASC)

7° trine Cancer:
Ceto (Greek; "whale") Undina (folklore) Raman (Rama, Hindu Vedic mythos, "dark, night", "seed") (wide trine to Child asteroid)

7° trine Scorpio:
Vaino (Finnish folklore, god), Dejan ("alms/oblation"), Phereclos (ship builder, Greek mythology; possibly meaning "giant-bearer" indicating large size/strength of limb/back), Phegeus (Greek myth and history - "oak king", not a Greek name, probably Etruscan, could be title for "lumberjack" or any "woodsman"), Anchises (Greek, Aphrodite's mortal lover, father of Aeneas), Hippodamia (ugh; Greek, house of Atreus, "horse-tamer")

7° square Sagittarius:
Panopaea (lit: "all child" or "child of many") Apophis (Egyptian, Apep, one of many mythology serpents) Didymos (twin; biblical) Wildcat Yucatan (rich of resource) Priska (Prisci/Priscus "elder/former/ancient", Latin/biblical, Pricilla) (& IC 4°)

7° square Gemini:
Aegina (Greek mythos; something akin to fem, "protected") Laetitia (Roman goddess over joy, Latin "joy/glad") Lancelot (fiction/legend) (& MC 4°)

(all under 1°)

~__~;

oddly enough... yes, I can see something of a pattern in the connection of the figures (associations) in these direct asteroid contacts, several were blamed/punished erroneously (they were innocents or victims), others were truly guilty but spared or honoured/immortalized later, there's also a few tie ins to tales of resurrection and infinity there~

I'm gonna check wee Ram's chart too... but, the lil squirt knocked out my pc earlier and I lost this and other things I had open... so ticked off he did that! bah! too upset and beat to check his chart right now; I'll check tomorrow... >.<; kids.... gotta luv em. lol

Thank you again for posting this up!~ ^^

Within the context of virginity
Tim Tebow the football player has prominent Acacia aspects.

Tim tebow:
Acacia in Aquarius retrograde opp Sun 1, Venus 1 and Mars 4 orbs
= He has Acacia on three inner planets and his planets that focus on relationships and sexuality aside from his unknown asc with his house placements. The retrograde and opposition to his planets probably glue together his choice to maintain his "innocence".

Acacia conjunct Lust in Aquarius 4 orbs=Proably adds to detachment towards a more sexual nature.
inconjunct Eros exact
Acacia sq Pallas in Scorpio 2 orbs
Sextile Ceres in Sagittarius 2 orbs

Adriana Lima- the Victoria Secret Model was also quoted saying she'd stay a virgin until marriage has:
Acacia in Cancer sq Eros in Aries 1 orb
conjunct Psyche in Cancer widely
Quincunx Lust in Aquarius 2 orbs
Conjunct Mercury in Libra 3 orbs and Venus in Cancer 1 orb
sq Saturn in Libra widely
Sextile Juno in Libra exact

Hilary Duff- Disney Actress
Acacia in Aquarius trine Venus in Libra exact
Acacia trine Psyche in Libra 3 orbs
Acacia conjunct lust in Aquarius 2 orbs
Acacia conjunct Juno in Aquarius widely 5 orbs
Acacia quintile Pallas in Sagittarius 1
Acacia sextile Saturn in Sagittarius 1 orb
Acacia quintile Jupiter in Aries exact.

Lolo Jones - Olympic Track runner in the 2012 Olympics
Acacia in Virgo conjunct Psyche in Virgo 1 orb
Acacia opp Lust in Pisces widely 5
Acacia sq Juno in Sagittarius 2 orbs
Acacia sq Neptune in Sagittarius 2 orbs

So within the context of "abstinence"
Acacia aspecting Venus/mars or the asteroids Eros/Psyche/Juno/lust look significant,

what do you suppose it means having it on the Desc node? an appreciation for the "innocence" in relations to others? perhaps? Maybe giving everyone "innocent until proven guilty" (Libra-like view, since it is 7th house cusp)... I dread what that says for me though, being opposite Ascendant, and square to my Venus-Uranus like that. ugh... could be "seeking of redemption" in some manner?

exact semisextile Mars
1° semisquare Chiron
2° semisquare Nessus
2° sextile PoF

Acacia or Akakia is greek for innocence so perhaps it means untarnished as in lack of diminished worth or existence. Since the acacia tree grew around the chest that held Osiris' body. The acacia tree trunk then held the body of Osiris preserved despise being cut down.

Untarnished self despite partnerships or marriage (7th) or transforming from one on one relationships because of the opposition. Like a tree even if its cut down what's left will still should its rings but continue growing in whatever direction you choose.

Do you catalog them/have you considered publishing your thoughts on them, or putting them (your research) onto a blog/site of its own one day? ~^^~ anything like that?

Totally normal religion really isn't a factor for most people anymore I notice. One person I know waited until they were 28. I wish I had their chart to look at.

8652 Acacia trine ASC
(+ Patientia and Child-Mahakala-Saint Michel)
from 7'06 Sag. 5th house.

Conj Neptune by 2.

Sextile Pluto
Square Venus
(+ Laotse-Goto and Kaali-Fox-Nike-Swindle)
~3 opposite Mars

I have no idea about people's perceptions on the whole, but teachers used to see me with a positive halo effect (all the way to making allowances for me) and a few friends seemed to get very weird ideas about me when first associating more with them. I.e., one thought I was visiting friends in another town to get drugs from there, another that I'd stolen something from them first off, when neither was anything to do with me.

Neptune influence?

It sounds like Neptune, instead of you creating illusions, people around you created preconceived ideas about you.

Hmm, I don't want to wait till Im 28 thou...
I can say one thing, its not a conscious decision.
I do know people praise me for it, and a lot of people tell me they wish they waited. I guess I get a lot of respect because of my 'purity'. Weird... Maybe thats the effect of this asteroid.

Probably if you constantly get away with saying whatever you want without reprimanded by others. Or people put the things you say in the "child" category and disregard the things you say.

Wow, has anyone really said that?

Acacia's in my 11th house in Leo, and I have it conjunct asteroids Gratia and Fanatica. It trines my Vertex exact (7th house, Aries), if the trine still counts. Plus:
- Semi-sextile Mercury in Virgo (12th) and semi-sextile Chiron in Cancer (10th).
- Square Pluto in Scorpio (2nd).
- Quincunx moon in Capricorn (4th).
- Trine Great Attractor (3rd)

So... that's more aspects than I thought.
