~6939 Lestone ~

Anyone used this one before? Of course there may be official meaning(s) to it
but if you use it how might you think of it
and where is it in your chart?

After looking at it, due to my brief experience with Spanish+French, I just thought Le Stone, like the stone so to seek info on it, it was intertwined with my research a few minutes before with blue stone on the Aura post that is prominently on the asteroid forum of current.
Personally, my most common used name means just that. So it was interesting for me.

Less personal (but important to a great many) stone can as well relate with the living stone which in biblical scripture, Christ was often reffered as. This
might be a nice rock for anyone to study.

Lestone is not one I've used, or even come across before. For me personally the name doesn't have any particular meaning beyond the stone association.

I did check the origin of the name though. It's an older name for the English town of Leighton Buzzard, and the name is thought to be derived from Old-English 'Lēah-tūn'. Lēah having a somewhat unclear meaning but generally a clearing or meadow in the woods, and tūn indicating a man made clearing, often a farmyard. So now I'm imagining a little cottage in the woods!

In my chart Lestone doesn't do much unfortunately. But here are the aspects anyway... maybe I can see some sort of pattern.

Lestone 2°52' Leo (10th house)

Sesquiquadrate Saturn 18°13' Sagittarius (3rd house)
Inconjunct Ceres 2°00' Capricorn (3rd house)
Inconjunct PoF 3°46' Capricorn (3rd house)
Inconjunct Juno 3°34' Pisces (5th house)
(At apex of Yod with Ceres/PoF and Juno forming base.)

Conjunct:
Turchina 1°46' (turquoise)
Jerusalem 2°39'
Magion 2°46'
Helmi 3°02' (Finnish: pearl)
Adonis 3°34'

Opposite:
Werdandi 2°13' Aquarius
Iris 2°21'
Kukkamäki 2°52' (Finnish: flower hill)
Ramakrishna 2°53'

Trine:
Artaxerxes 2°18' Aries
Strand 2°27' Aries
Avila 2°49' Aries (derived from Latin: avis, meaning bird)
Caprara 2°50' Aries (goat pasture)
Probitas 3°17' Aries (honesty)
Sumeria 2°21' Sagittarius
Vesuvius 3°03' Sagittarius

Square:
Osiris 2°07' Taurus
Valentine 2°21' Taurus
Arcadia 2°41' Taurus (pastoral romance?)
Quirk 2°41' Taurus
Angkorwat 3°08' Taurus
Megaira 2°55' Scorpio
Solheim 3°03' Scorpio (home of the sun)

Sextile:
Chimaera 2°33' Gemini
Concordia 2°33' Gemini
Perseverantia 2°35' Gemini
Bright Spring 2°52' Gemini
ORO 3°00' Gemini
Fiducia 2°22' Libra (trust)
Amber 2°39' Libra
Ianthe 2°50' Libra

There is a bit of a pastoral theme, some asteroids there that paint a really pretty countryside picture... I am a country girl at heart, most myself whenever I'm close to nature... And I'm definitely nostalgic for older, more pastoral eras. The Yod with Ceres, PoF and Juno is also interesting, and has an overall earthy, fertile, nurturing feel to it, which kind of clashes, as Yods are wont to do, with the Leo/10th placement of Lestone et al.

But there is definitely more going on there too... Honesty, trust, perseverance, concord, romance... but also a bit of magic, death, fate and revenge? Plus a bit of quirky trickster messenger, and some ancient places and people...? Yeah, idk.

Nadja ".. the name doesn't have any particular meaning beyond the stone association.

One of the town's features is a church.
If you look at the picture,
the face wall of the church is made of 'stones'.

It fits!

Natal placement--
6939 Lestone r Capricorn 22.19'55"
trines my 9th House Moon Virgo

t in Gemini retro 18.56

52 Europa Gemini 19.29 H7

2633 "Bishop" Gemini 19.50

with transiting asteroid
5841 Stone in Capricorn 16.34
soon to meet up with natal Lestone at 22+.

Story
In my 20s, I was a postulant {applying-nun} in the RC Church to a cloistered community. The monastery was gorgeous!!!!, built in the 1800s. Gorgeous hardwood floors, millwork, fireplaces in the great rooms. Had a vineyard, a garden that supplied our vegetables, gorgeous high stone walls, a little cemetery on their property buried with those in the community who had died. A pathway/walkway wound throughout and around the property inside the walls. We would all stop working on cue of the bells, to go gather inside the sanctuary to sing and pray or 'chant' the Hours.

Chiron r Aquarius 5.19 H2cap
3315 'Chant' Aquarius 5.53
5841 'Stone' Aquarius 6.55
[Foundress's 'name' asteroid] Aquarius 4.58

trine my Sun Gemini H6taur

Mars Cancer 2.36 conjuncts
416 Vaticana 2.57,
WITH!!!
Foundress' "?first-name" asteroid at 2.59 Cancer!
..
trine out-of-sign
Neptune r Libra 25+ H10
conjunct name of the Head-nun at 27.29 r Libra--
and 1328 Devota r Scorpio 3.57 H11
with Juno r Scorpio 4.48

.. can't make that stuff up
Written in the sky.

Other 'nunly' association--
4390 Madreteresa Taurus 3.33'33" H5
10343 Church Virgo 3.33'31" H(9)
13227 Poor Virgo 3.01'03"

My Venus Taurus 12+ H5
trines Christian Virgo 11.10'56 H(9)
trines Yeshuhua r Capricorn 11.32'36. H1

Amazing how that all happened....

I love it that I'm older, and that I have lived out almost all my time now, in life.
I can see parts of my lived-life had been spelled out in asteroid-finds.

There are MORE associations than that--
but, I've got my volunteer job to attend today.

Nadja, wow. You have a lot there to examine but it does look faith based to me. I think you've a lot of jewel related (Amber, gold, pearl, turquoise) in it too. Somewhere I think I read priests had jeweled breast plates in periods in history. I wonder how these gemstones speak to you on a soul level?

I need a lengthier reply but really am utter suprise how well that lille stone patchworked in your chart like a quilt! This made me smile.
These asteroids carry more for those of us who are open and looking I'm also very intrigued with your story of your past. There is no way this could be a mere coincidence. Thank you so much for sharing this!

Your response brought tears to my eyes, MoonMystic. Thanks so much for commenting.

And thank you for your interest.

I 'whole quoted' you as a BIG HUG!!!

Yes....
I'll be 64 1/2 next month.
I've lived-out almost of all my life-years now. Approaching the finish line.

I didn't get into any astrological understanding of things until almost-up to my 2nd Saturn Return.

So, everything basically is a hind-sight View of life at this point, regarding the astrology. There are no more stories to 'make up'--- they already "happened."

I hope it inspires people to look at the asteroids, to find their 'story'.

Things WILL AND DO 'shift' in the way that "meanings" are made, as their lives unfold. Crazy Kaleidoscope---

It's IMPORTANT to hold the meanings in a loose kind of way-- and strive not to "FIX" any one single meaning to an asteroid, or its clusters. Life keeps Unfolding new marvels for us, throughout a lifetime.

Just as in the kitchen and the process of cooking, we can have ALL the ingredients on hand with which to make a VARIETY of goods.

Our 'stories' are mixed into these charts.

Mirage,
I just wanted to say how much I adore your mind. You soak up knowledge like a sponge.  One would never guess you are 64 years young, yet that denotes such wisdom and you have much road ahead (no finish line)   I can only imagine how much you have learned by then. There are a great many who don't understand the kind of passion you have, we on LL appreciate you an can see it.

After all we are all books and you are one of the most joyous ones to find on the shelf, returning time after time to you and the wisdom you share.
Thank you.

I'm younger but not far behind, my learning took me many years to get even where l am. I was over 40something by then. I hope by the time I reach the point you are are now, I might also have much within me too.

In my reading my charts too. Much I've already seen from the rearview mirror. I'm looking for new pieces of my template to examine. Learning from others all I am able to.

I couldn't agree more. I really hope others will not dismiss this new area of study within astrology.  Like decans or other secondary areas, it may be a niche (now) interest, but for those willing to be open, it might very well be in the future a well respected study within the world of astrology

Sending well wishes a peace your way Mirage

Sorry, I missed your first comment. I'm not much of a gold and gems gal to be honest and I don't feel much of anything about turquoise. Spiritually I need a bit of grit and decay or something organic, something that lives and dies. I connect more with amber because of that. Wood, bronze, silver, iron... anything that tarnishes. Gold and gems are too unspoiled and eternal for me to connect with, spiritually.

I don't use Draconic, but I just checked Lestone and Turchina in my heliocentric chart. I don't have any easy access to what asteroids they may connect with there though. Lestone is at 21°12' Leo, trine Venus at 20°58' Aries and sextile Chiron at 21°59 Gemini. Turchina is at 16°40' Leo, trine Saturn at 17°43' Sagittarius. Saturn is in turn trine Venus of course, so the stones almost complete a grand trine, but just almost.
