Hi,i think i have developed an allergy to them. i mean i was always a mosquito favorite, they seem to prefer my blood for some strange reason. but now the problem is worse, it itches and swells up for like a week !! I don't want to use conventional medicines for what seems like a small thing to me. Anything natural and effective, please? Now tht summers are here, mosquito's are back with a vengeance...i need to fortify myself against the attacks....couple of days ago i got bit twice by mosquitos, i avoided touching it yesterday, but today its just itching way too much !!!!! its on my toes, and they are swelling up rapidly. does scratching increase the swelling ?? Can you eat citrus? Because for some reason when you eat oranges it tends to repel them. I get eaten up pretty bad myself, especially my feet lol! And I read avoid bananas, because the body produces a pheromone that makes bugs hungry. Stop rubbing and scratching, it only makes it worse.------------------ Sun in Libra Moon in Cancer Jupiter in Cancer Venus in Virgo Mars in Cancer Ascendant in Cancer I "FEEL" therefor I am IP: Logged |

I'm not really sure what helps, mosquitos don't like my blood very much for some reason, but my sister is allergic to them too. She swells up and it turns into a clear pimple-like lump. I heard there was a way you can change your aura to become invisible to them. I'll see if I can find more info on that! IP: Logged |

PS: The men around here who go hunting and fishing SWEAR by something called "Skin-So-Soft" from Avon -- but I've never tried it..... when I get bitten the bites swell up and turn into hard lumps -- when I was young I had to have one lanced and drained Citronella and lemongrass are in one of the "natural" sprays that I have..... I don't know if it's just a coincidence, but I wasn't too bothered by the skeeters last summer and I was drinking a lot of tea with lemongrass in it.....
