Hello, this ia kind of an awkward question, but mabe some of you ladies would know what's going on. About two week ago I started to exercise...alot(mostly running/jogging), and then when I got my period, it was barely there. Normally it's pretty heavy, so I am having mixed feelings about it. Is it normal to not really have a menstrual cycle when you exercise more often?

YUP!, it is normal, hard physical activity...
may cause you not to have a period at all...
once your body adjusts, so will your cycle...

Historians believe the women of biblical times bled only a teaspoon or so during the entire period cycle, Due to the amount of excersise their bodies were used to as well as their diet. [Probably the reason pads and tampons were not invented until much later in history] these really were unnecessary. Today professional gymnists experience similiar trends and barely have any menstral cycles to speak of.
I say ->Enjoy it

Be careful also to not lose too much body fat...it's very common for women athletes who exercise a lot and having very low body fat for their periods to stop. This happens with gymnasts.
