Pls do not full quote - thank you

I hate being a baby about this as many are facing it far worse now
Anyone know of herbs or remedies for smoke?
Especially for feline friends. We are stuck in unsafe breathing elements. 2 air purifiers and fans are all we have to clear it but the taste is vile.
I feel bad for my boys and all babes right now. These guys are wonderful but they aren't complainers so I wouldn't know. Now they are watching tropical birds, to relax them o tv. They are very healthy but if us 2 leggers can taste the fire, I feel horrible for our poor 4 legged friends. And also the winged ones. I'm so disheartened for our neighborhood who has birds.

I have a headache that is relentless. :/

Mint is good but tea i doubt is ok for my babes. We have no living plants atm. Iam giving them cat nip some and it's related to mint I think. The water is easier with one of them, the other is less instinctive.

You must be on the west coast!

For you and the taste in mouth, try brushing your teeth several times a day. And stay hydrated. Keep some flavorful gum in your mouth. Could even keep a mask on, in the home, to help further filter your own mouth's air.

The animals are probably doing fine (re taste in the mouth).

awww. Poor little birdies and their tiny lungs!! They probably benefit from being around the air-flows an air-filters. So sweet that your Critters are symbolically "watching" TV scenes of birds/creatures with clean air??? ha. awww.

I thought you could place drops of essential oil on your filters/fans-- BUT no, because once you apply it, you're stuck with it if that particular scent doesn't happen to mix well with the smoke-smell in the air. Has to blend with it.. make a good-match.

Some strong-scented candles {from metaphysical shops} would probably help change or disguise the smells?-- but be careful of your health using those.
e.g.
Sweetgrass smells great, but can also exacerbate/irritate lung-lining sensitivities you could have, even if used in larger (but enclosed) areas.

If you're into it, take supplements that help support the function of mucous lining in your lungs/sinuses?
.. Be careful with extra Vitamin E though, because that can 'mess' with your blood pressure (if tendency is to go 'low' BP), and, Vit E and A are 'not' water soluble in body (can go toxic after a certain point).

Maybe try steaming face? Breathing in moister air into your mouth and nasal passages, if it helps wet and move that smoke-taste along. A little Eucalyptus?

Energetically/spiritually -- Imagine that whole geographic area being 'cleansed'-- The purification of vibrations using the tool of prevailing Fires right now. Even as though it is a huge 'ritual-smudging' of the west coast.

Fire .. There have been all those property-destroyers and looters who came to attach selves to the BLM-protests; while policing troops there also agitating the Fires of HATE energies... Funnel those energies of negativity-- those demonic agents of agitations and DESTRUCTION, directed spiritually TO these fires. Whatever is Not 'peaceful'-- energetically has to leave.

Energetically.. try telepathically directing {i.e. pray} the negative-spirits in the air be swept up to throw themselves INTO the purification-Fires; {fires made into sacred-element and higher nature-entities by your inner powerful call and direction, using the rudder of intentions by mind/heart}.

Stay Safe!

If you use the steamed water, I was wondering if some oregano would help support?

(I don't know. I'm not trained. Please investigate before using for self and your animals. .. Just providing you with ideas from things I might have read a long long time ago.) ..

Again,,,,, this is only 'an idea' to explore.

Do your own research.
Lots of youtubes on use of herbs, for humans AND animals.
Careful about any kinds of toxicity.

The idea of adding herbs to water, or even of taking drops into your mouth, is to help change the 'taste' and/or bring health-support to your mucous membranes-- nose throat lungs.

(Slowly responding)

I read quickly your first response. Need to read more thoroughly. I do so very much appreciate your kind advice Mirage.
My eyes tire so quickly. Otherwise I could be more timely. The index is over 500 and the purifier we last bought was delivered. The coworkers around my hubby eagerly asked sbout it. He doesn't know them well.
This is like MadMax but not with gas.
Sorry, went off in tangent . I'll better respond once I read your messages. 🌸💓🌸

*Eyes are drowsy*

.. response ..

My only eucalyptus is incense. 'Sigh'
Yes, West coast. My nose bleed keeps coming back and clots with permeating cinders. No fun. The eucalyptus would be so nice if if were not as I have it.
The humidity is awful and steam water might be less comforting than in other times. I am trying to keep that hydrating up for self, boys. They had wheat grass I keep for them routinely, it turned yellow fast. Virtual birds are helping. Yes,
I did do some meditation. Tbc ~ I'll finish soon. ♡

Calendula and chamomile are very gentle and soothing to mucous membranes— you could try making a tea and soaking a cloth in it to put over your eyes. Also mixing it with something strong-flavored like mint to actually drink. Slippery elm and marshmallow also come to mind. I don’t know where you could find these next ones— I forage rather than purchase— but my favorite eye-wash uses witch hazel, wild grape and broadleaf plantain. NOT the kind of witch hazel that comes in a bottle at the drugstore; I’m pretty sure that has isopropyl alcohol in it.
Stay safe!

thank you Mirage! You're always wise and  wonderful help.

Chanterelle, thank you.
  Excellent advice too.
I hope to not need to worry of this again but I'll
keep this under hat if needed.

I'm not as clear as I'd like and happen to have
chamomile,  I'm brewing some now. Mint helped me through this. Kits loved the c.nip.
Broadleaf plantain, wonder if that's the leaf from plantains?  It's good to have all of this on hand.  I'll
see where they can be obtained.

My boys are playing and happy.  This place needs a good vacuuming, my sinuses too. lol
A lot to do here. Never dull moment in 2020.

.. .. ..

It slipped my mind, sorry this is a haze to the mental powers. Doing my best.

I want to wash our drapes but it's difficult now to take them down. I don't like chemicals like febreeze. Do any of you ladies know of a mixture that might spray to cleanse the odor out? I would use bakig soda but it is chalky and I doubt easily to liquidfy. I was thinking minty water? And air plants, at some point they might not sustain in such harsh toxins so that might not even be a good option.. I know this is awful. Seems like 20 years of 100 cigarettes per day, in a small area. Anything I do, tasting smoke. YUck.
My boys are seperate from areas of our home and very good to be wuth me. I could if it's possible quarentine them away and close individual rooms to clear the fumes away. Sadly our architecture was built poorly. Cracks, uneven walls and our windows not aligned for cross breezes. Oh well. We do have fans. Thank you for any info if you have any. ♡

Maybe try dissolving the baking soda in vinegar, then adding some liquid soap? That’s what a neighbor taught me when my dog got sprayed by a skunk. Not so much a spray-around-the-room thing, but like a pre-wash treatment for clothes, sheets, etc. about an hour before putting them in the washing machine.

Thank you Chanterelle. ♡
That's great idea. I will try that out if I have this occur again. Although I strongly hope it won't .

For any lung issues people report that burning cedar wood in your home with all doors and windows closed in the house and feeling its heat, dries out lungs and kills the nastiest germs.

That's good info PhoenixRising. thank you! Wish I had known that before my neighbor had to leave. Our area was terribly effected by these smokes.
