This can be a major cause for concern if you lose weight. The possibilities of the skin 'shrinking' or toning up are less as one ages too. Does anyone know of anything that works? I lost weight a couple of years ago but am still not happy with the lack of tone despite exercise and muscle building.

Hi Astro Keen...

I don't know how old you are and the amount of weight loss you are talking about, but, when I was 50 years old I dropped about 60 pounds (and became too thin, actually). I had been worried about skin too-- but it DID go into a really very good tone. I don't remember how many years that took, but I don't think it took that much longer.

Stay in there!

There's another thing I noticed too about the occasional sag (e.g. flappy arms? LOL), which appears at times for women of all ages. Even ones who are usually toned there. ...

I think that is caused by hormonal changes that happen in the body. (And some Venus transits too! LOL) This will come and go pretty much on its own, normally, depending.

When you get older too, your whole body will seem to drop-down a bit (in females AND males too). And that is sooo normal.

Don't worry about it. Accept yourself as you are during blocks of changes in your age. These occur every decade or so. Practice positive self talk .... And when you look in the mirror and see yourself older?, just remember that 'what you are seeing NOW' will be the youngest you've looked, for Future look in the mirror. Try to appreciate BOTH, and Accept the YOU of Now!

What really relieved my mind one day, when I was around 52 or 53, was that I happened to see an Oprah Winfrey show where they were displaying incremental normal body changes from teen to much-older women. I could 'see' what phase I was in, and I came to rest on 'how normal' I was.

The best thing I saw that day, was a woman being interviewed AT my age, who exclaimed how MUCH the shape of her face had changed. Now, that doesn't happen to everyone, but it happened to her, and this had changed her 'looks'... That very same thing had just happened to me. Again, I felt 'the ease' about my changing body after seeing others who went through it and described how that felt to them.

I find benefits in shows like that.

In the olden days, people grew up and stayed as a 'family unit'... You could watch as your mum and grandmom got older, went through their change-of-life, etc. It was just knowledge that you picked-up on because you lived in it, without formal teaching.

Now, people are more spread apart from their families. We don't get to experience aging parents and elders as much in some segments of society.

I appreciated shows like Oprah Winfrey. Also at that time, DrPhil's wife was doing 50-And-Fabulous show parties, with prizes, etc.

Congratulations on your weight loss, btw! (if you were attempting that.) ..

Accept Yourself Behold and appreciate your own Beauty every day... inside, and out.

Thanks Mirage. I only lost 25 pounds but still not good enough tone. Sigh!

Was wondering if positive thinking changes body shape. Yes, I'm incorrigible - not happy to accept things the way they are.

Yes positive thinking can help. Light + water + healing frequency. You can do it through meditation.
We are astral beings of light, our physical body cells are filled with water, water changes according to frequency (sound, thoughts, feelings, words etc).

Visualisation is another thing.
Imagine the changes on the astral body as well as in the physical body.
In placebo studies, the group that performed exercises as well as the group who visualised the exercises had same positive effects on their bodies.

From physical exercises pilates is by far the best at changing body shape, gaining core strength and definition. Which is why all ballet dancers and most athletes do pilates.

I've lost over 150 pounds and well,
There is no fix;
my old body skin suit is not naturally fixable; only surgery would do it.

You should be able to pull back from a 25 pound weight loss in time.
It can take a few years.
Be patient.
It is like having a baby;
it takes time for the stretched skin to snug back.

Collagen powder mixed in with your morning juice is good for the skin, but you must take collagen with vitamin c to be effective. Check the mfg. ingredients list to see about vitamin c with collagen. It's a waste of money and product to take it without vitamin c.

Take MSM with vitamin c, silica, copper, Hyaluronic acid, and drink a lot of water while you take all these supplements.

You must take 3 1000mg capsules of msm 3 times a day. And everytime you take it take it with good quality vitamin c supplement. You can take all the other supplements as much it is recommended. Hyaluronic acid is expensive so it's okay if you can't afford it msm is really good on its own. But if you can afford it I recommend getting the fountain Hyaluronic acid concentrate formula it's around 40$.

Also for topical application you can apply malic acid powder and Epsom salt diluted in water. You may even add these to your bath.

I promise it works like magic. It might be a little costly but the result is priceless. Besides that, you get even more health benefits from all that. You can research yourself if you don't believe me. You can't find skin tightening or anti aging info just like that you find real solutions when you dig really deep like I did.

Besides it will also make your hair thicker and softer like it did to mine in just 2 days within me taking msm with vitamin c. You will believe in magic after you do all that.

But you have to improve your diet. Remove all junk food, everything with added sugar or glucose or fructose. Eat more raw and fresh fruits and vegetables. Just make small changes not anything too drastic. Give your body some time to adjust and everything will turn out fine. And just drink a lot of water. Consider even going on a water fast while you take all these supplements. It I'll work 5 times faster. I went for a water fast for 10 days some people go for like 40 days but it's up to you I would recommend for you like 2 weeks while you take all these supplements with a lot of water. Although water fasting itself helps with skin tightening and softening. But imagine how quick it would be if you combine water fasting and all these supplements together.

Make sure the water you drink is filtered I just use Brita filter it's good enough. If you have a better filter that's even better. You can use a piece of activated charcoal they sell it for water filtering it's good too.

I hope this helped you and anyone else who also was looking for some info.

Yes; when I started using Britta filters all the time; the skin I thought had no chance of tightening up at all ever again; is finally showing signs of doing it! I did not think that so many years after the 150 pound weight loss it could happen.
I feel that using the Britta water filters has made me drink more water and by keeping hydrated; the skin seems to be able to slowly be snugging up again. I will be 63 years old this coming Fall.
I also keep my skin hydrated from the outside.
Other things I have been doing for the past year is taking Biotin; C; and E; plus Omega 369; and B12; and foods that contain those vitamins.

The results show no contaminants after one run through the filter, where Brita took several attempts and still didn't get it all.

Even cheaper, depending upon the size of the pitcher you get.
