Ive had like 6 colds this season, any tips?

Have tried vitamin C, ecinachea, zinc, elderberry

I've managed to avoid that, so far. I keep forgetting to take my Vitamin D (a friend thinks that helps), but I make a soup with turmeric in it every week, and take L-lysine. I can't swallow capsules, so I open them up into kefir, when I take my enzyme/probiotic mix.

I don't know if it's this, or just luck, though. I'm mostly around my dad, and he hasn't been sick, except for one day in December.

I take echinacea and goldenseal tincture, for infections - goldenseal is like a herbal antibiotic.

I think its mainly exposure, I'm just around SO many people. Gym, buses, subways, other public facilities. I travel, go on airplanes etc.

I will look into the golden seal

Ever since I've done Yoga cold hasn't troubled me too much.. even 5 0r 10 minutes of one exercise per a day might suffice.

Not just supplements, and teas--
also utilize Prevention with Sanitation.
And, stress management and RESTing the body.

* Exposure to germs...
A really important part of staying well is to also remember to 'clean up' after you've been around humanity's public places.

Wash your hands, and your face.
Try not to touch your face, your eyes, area around your nostrils while in a germ-intensive area.

Use handcreams, etc., to keep your skin in good condition. Hands that are too dry develop cracks.
Keep mucus membranes healthy. Too dry up in your nostrils and sinuses, can cause cracks there too.
Use a humidifier, if room is too dry.

Steam your face and sinuses.
{Boil pot of water, hang face over steam after turning pot off.}


* Disinfect the outside of your briefcase, etc?
If you're letting items touch the floor/ground/surface, and you bring that in to your home and set it on top of the table/surfaces even your desk, (and where you you eat), you might be bringing in germs?

Could use those disinfectant wipes on the surfaces of things that have been exposed to the crowds.
{Dollar/thrift/discount-type stores sell small packages with resealable flaps. You can carry them around sealed in ziplock-type bags. They last longer, and stay moist.}

Your watchband? Make sure to sanitize that.
Your cellphone, ipad, laptop? ditto

Of course, handsanitizer while you're out after shaking hands with people.

Your neckties? can collect and carry germs. I don't know if you can lysolspray/mist them a bit, without ruining the fabric?

If you wear eyeglasses? .. be sure to wash those off-- rims and glass.

Your hair?? --
.. okay, I'm going bonkers!..???? haha
Not really.
I had been pretty healthy one winter.
Then, someone sitting on the bus directly behind me did a huge 'sneeze'. Felt the wind of it on the back of my head, and I stroked the back of my hair right afterwards? Mistake... I came down with an awful cold/flu after that.
So... If someone sick sneezes on your hair?, don't touch your hair with bare hands (inadvertently touching your face, etc). Maybe make sure you wash your hair that night? (instead of morning, if you are a morning-shower person)

If you were wearing a hat during germ-season? ..
spray the hat with lysolspray when you get home.

So... PREVENTION.
Anything you bring INTO your home, if you can kind of keep them sprayed or sanitized, it can reduce the load of germs you're exposed to. Gives the immune system less to have to handle.
.. Don't forget to sanitize your doorknob, light switches, knobs on drawers in your kitchen.. Your TV remote, your mouse/keyboards, etc.

Your KEYS? .. Wash those, OR use alcohol on them?
The outside of your wallet?.. give it a wipe.

The OTHER IMPORTANT things?

Get proper REST for your body!!
Get the best sleep you can at night.
RESTING helps boost your immune system by letting it do its own work.

If you are not feeling well, and come down with a cold-- it's really better that you self-care (if you can arrange it) rather than power-on through your day. A stitch in time, saves nine!
Soup, and allow Rest for your body, AND the mind!!
Taking the afternoon OFF, and, nap and rest and souping, can QUICKEN healing time-- makes you more productive.
PLUS... taking rest time away from other humans during the heaviest attack of the cold helps OTHERS not catch and keep passing germs (but, you already know that.. *heart*).

Make HOME-MADE soups.
Can always make a big batch, then freeze portions in sturdy round quart-containers {ziplockMakes some *thumbsup*}, that can be reused over and over again.
Home made soup {without those extra chemical additives} is sooo healthy.

* STRESS …
Stress, sustained nasty stress --
is terrible on the body.
Make sure you have a practice or engage in doses of positive thinking, possibility thinking, to counteract that mental {and emotional} stress.

Stress, too much stress, dirties your aura.
Dirty auras can attract things that cling to it, like colds.
REST.. Positive doses of thoughts.. allows the aura to refresh its energies.

If you can afford it, see a foot-reflexologist. Amazing connections. Can help free-up parts of your body-- like congestion. Especially since you're having challenges.

Are you "properly dressed" for the WEATHER?

If you're feeling cold out in the weather for extended periods, I believe I've heard that this can lower your immune system.

Some people have a vanity-fashion thing about their 'appearance.' What's more important?? Your Health, or looking-good for someone ELSE who won't BE there if you're sick?? ~okay??!

Make SURE you're properly dressed when you're feeling ill. Make sure during other times, that you are not catching a 'chill'.. which incubates the cold/flu germs?

Keep your feet warm! Boots, not stilettos!

The aura basically has 3 main sections.
I'm fortunate to be able to see my own aura and to have observed how it works (in my own life).

STARTS with the SPIRIT section.
Then there's a band of the emotion-thoughts coming closer to the body.
The area just above the head is the closest to the physical body and by that time reflects more the condition of the body.

But -- extend your arms out level with your shoulders. Wiggle your fingertips. That's the area of your "START", your boundary-- what you 'personally' can influence BY spiritual hygiene.

The most central and core thing you can do is to nurture spiritual strength, virtue, and maintain your sense-tone or connection-with the Divine. .. The Lover of your Soul (in case you hadn't heard of it).

Keep background awareness of innerspirit strong.
Maintain better thought-hygiene.
Keep your Heart soft,
yet maintain an amount of guard around it.

Make it an exercise to Find The 'Beauty'
.. in things, in people, in nature.

Monitor yourself in exposure to toxic people, toxic messages. Be careful who's words you let affect you.

Not everyone is worthy to speak into your life.
Who you 'bed' with emotionally, thought-wise, and spiritually, matters.
Have you Circle of Friends be 'good' for you.

Also take care of what music lyrics you allow to play over and over in your mind and soul, and IN your Imagination.

Make sure you dose yourself with lyrics and music that support and LIFT you (if you are a music person).
Monitor your 'imaginations' .. they can be a warning to you (in a psychic~sense).

Monitor the effects of TV shows you watch and 'get into' with thoughts, feelings, and imagination.

All these things 'feed' you, whether you realize it or not.

Monitor toxic people like you'd monitor your diet -- too much junk food can take-away health from you... In same line, junk-food can also be good for you, in that it will help inoculate yourself in case you 'happen' to get an overload of it.

Aside--
Nutritionally in my late teens through 20s, I had been a 'purist'. Overall, that habit ended up not being a wise thing to do. My body got too-reactive to foods that weren't deemed as 'the healthiest' for one's body.
.. Socially when I'd go out with friends, I found out that my body became less reactive to regular mundane eating IF I inoculated self with junk-food at least once a week, or more.
.. Not wise to 'do or go' TOO FAR one way or the other.
Stay in the middle.
.. 'All things in moderation'?

Adopt a "good philosophy" for yourself.
Hold space with that.
