My family disowned me for having glbt friends.
I am not even gay myself, but was disowned by association. Also because I am not Christian like most of them are.
Their loss!

I hope that fellow is doing fine!
I have unfortunately received more unkindness due to my supporting gay folks.
As some may have read in other threads;
my family did not tell me of my Father's death.
Why?
Because they are homophobic Christians and worse.
I found my father's obituary when browsing for other things.

What are people so afraid of? Is it just that they are completely weirded out by gay sex? Patriarchy? Sexual inhibitions? What?????Its the expression of love to another being. Nothing "defiling" or "dirty" about that. We had a priest in a local church make the congregation watch a gay porn clip to "discourage" gay "experimentation".
