Anyone read his stuff? Do you like it? Is it a must-have? Is there someone who's updated Ebertin's materials and made them better?

I'm thinking about getting The Combination of Stellar Influences by him (of course).

Hi AG
I have the book -- bought it because Liz Greene quotes him a lot -- but can't say I've read every page..... I think it's a good reference/resource to have in your library. Perhaps you'd like the midpoints sections -- some interesting interps..... here's a sample:

Yay! A response!

I feel compelled to look into Cosmobiology right now, so this seems like a good place to start. I noticed at astro.com that they have Ebertin style charts available, which is what gave away his name for me.

On the page you scanned, what do the numbers correlate to? Did he number them for easy reference? Of course my Sun/Moon midpoint is the one falling off the page.

A soul torn by inner conflict, biased attitude or changed circumstances leads to critical phases of development in life or to separation from others.

Yes, I think the interps were numbered for easy reference. It starts with Aries as 0001.I'm taking the AFA correspondence course, and the manual recommends Reinhold Ebertin's "The Combination of Stellar Influences" as a good reference for interpretations. I ordered mine from Amazon.com, but you can also try Alibris.com, which I use if I want low-priced used books. Good luck!

AG ~

I chose that page to scan just for you
I thumbed thru the chapters and don't see a reason for the numbering, but perhaps just for quick reference??

Today I bought Parkers' Astrology. It's got a lot of midpoint information, and it goes into some of theory and calculations for harmonic charts, so that's cool. It, along with about 10 other obvious astrology books, were outside of the astrology section where they belong. I moved every one I found to the astrology section (Virgo Moon?).

I have a used copy of New Astrologer by Martin Seymour-Smith on it's way right now from amazon. I was thinking of getting Ebertin's book off there, too, but I'll check out your discount store.

I don't know what's come over me lately. I've just had a sudden desire to study more intensely.

AG,

Another book to look at for Midpoint analysis is Noel Tyl's Solar Arcs book. There is an appendix in the back with a listing of the midpoints' meanings!

Giving alternatives,

Tim

Good idea Tim. He's one of the people that makes me curious about midpoints.
