Hi, would be grateful if someone could answer this one - if one person has a pisces ascendant and the other person has a virgo ascendant, does this necessarily mean that there is an aspect between the ascendants when both persons' charts are compared? Sorry, it's a bit of a stupid question...I have great trouble understanding this chart-comparing stuff... IP: Logged |

luis,It depends on which astrologer you ask! Some astrologers use aspects based on signs, so, since Pisces and Virgo are opposite signs, they would say that there is an opposition aspect between the two signs. Others would say, "It depends upon the degree of the sign." If the signs are close to the same degree (within 5 to 8 degrees, depending on which astrologer you ask! ), then they are in opposition, if not, then they are not in opposition. Personally, I side with the "degree" people. Opinionating, Tim IP: Logged |

I agree with Tim, degrees are important. And I side with them too. But from experience Ive noticed a strong connection even when the opposing acsd's are out of orb. My ex has his Asc at 29* Cancer and my Dsc is at 18* Cancer. We are still inseparable. He's my best friend. (our Sun-Moon conjunction could have something to do with it too, though)IP: Logged |

Thank you both.I have checked astro.com for the degrees and these are 29 (virgo asc) and 7 (pisc asc) respectively - so no opposition there (technically speaking)!! IP: Logged | |
