Beginning Astrology Chart Interpretation Lessons by Anne Mogul

Do-it Yourself Chart Interpretation:

1. Planets show WHAT in the chart. The planets in your chart represent certain universal principles.

2. Signs show HOW. The planets in signs show the style in which you manifest the planet's principle.

3. Houses show WHERE. The houses in the chart contain the planets in signs and show the various areas of life.

The tricky part is combining the 3 factors. You'll have to really think in order to take it to this level.

Example for the Moon in Libra in the 2nd House:

[Moon] I need to be [Libra]extravagant with [2nd House]the money I earn.

I have a problem with Anne's interpretation. I understand the Moon's emotional pull as being a "need," and certainly the 2nd house's physicality has also to do with our personal "money", but why is Libra (relationships) energy "extravagant"? Some "extravagant" definitions:

I think that a person with Libra (relationships) modifying Moon (home, also emotions) focused in the 2nd house (physical, also money), may tend to use emotional relationships to build up their money supply. But I don't think this makes them "extravagant."

Interestingly, this is where Anne started out in trying to understand this astro-sentence:

"Fairness and justice" is another type of "relationship" and so makes sense. But Anne ended up far away from being either "just" or "fair" in her final result. Personally, I like my own astro-sentencing system better (attached below)...it’s much less extravagant!

When she presented the following statements, I understood them to be correct based on the astrological knowledge that I have to date. The Moon represents our emotional urge, feelings, moods, instincts, and needs. One of Libras many keywords is "justice".

However, when she combined these two statements, she seemed to be a little off track, leaping from "fairness and justice" to "extravagant", which is why I did not include those statements in my original post. They seemed to confuse the situation.

Maybe a more correct statement could have been: "I need (Moon) to be fair and just (Libra) with regards to how I handle my earnings (2nd house). There are many more examples of statements combining the Moon, Libra and the 2nd house than the one example Anne provided. As astrologers, we have to think of several to provide to the client. A while ago, I read somewhere on the internet that at least 5 examples should be provided during a reading.

The example that you provided also fits the bill of Moon/Libra/2nd house.
