I have had SERIOUS trouble with school my entire life. I mean total hell... even now! And I am barely out of high school and it is 10x the nightmare of what I suspect most people deal with in school.

So I am wondering: what does everyone think points to trouble with schooling, lower schooling or education in general? I have had problems with everything A-Z, from being outcasted for being too eccentric, to dressing too formally and differently from everyone else, to being bullied by teachers and switching MANY times.

I know I have a H3 Saturn and supposedly that's supposed to give you trouble with early education... Is that just in the lower grades of school? I have it trine my Mercury though, maybe that makes it better (or worse)...? Maybe all you fellow H3 Saturn people out there can tell me if you've had the same school troubles, or similar ones to mine!

Saturn in the 3rd is a biggie, for sure.

Maybe the condition of your 3rd house ruler, also.

What about higher education? That's represented by the 9th.

The trine to Mercury isn't necessarily a bad thing, it does slow down your thinking process and makes you more cautious in your speech, but it gives an analytical and serious mind, able to focus on things.
I don't think it would show any problems at school, by itself.

Ah, I see... thought so. :I Sigh. I hate having a H3 Saturn sometimes. It's caused me more trouble than its worth. Also, I get what you mean about the trine to Mercury. I'm glad it's not extraordinarily inhibiting. I guess it isn't *that* bad for me... it's better for me to be cautious and analytical than superficial in the way I think. I would hate to be someone who is really superficial in thinking.

Weirdly I usually do not have any trouble just blurting things out. I rarely hesitate to speak and often interrupt people. I guess it's from other aspects in my chart? I think Saturn also semi-squares Uranus so I have some difficulties with that as well.

Hmm, ironically enough I have a very well aspected Moon in the 9th house... but it conjuncts Chiron. I'(

Maybe the Chiron placement here is messing me up with school. The wound is to do with higher knowledge? I always just associated it with having problems with emotions and my mom, since it conjuncts my moon and that is very apparent to me. But maybe it also means something else.

I'm a fellow Saturn in 3rd house who's also had trouble at school.

I'm sorry you've had to deal with all that! My problems only started in High School. I've also switched many times thinking the grass would be greener. Edit: I just took a look at your chart and noticed that we share some of the same placements (Sagittarius ascendant, Mars in 8th,Sun in 10th etc), very intertested in what Ami has to say about your chart now.

@Pure Thank you for connecting with me! That's so cool we ended up having such similar placements. If you don't mind, can I see what your chart looks like?

I'm relieved to see someone else with H3 Saturn can relate to these school issues... thanks for reaching out. I began to have issues in Middle school and it got worse from there. But I always managed to get good grades anyway despite my depression. That's the only upside of Saturn here for me - the need to do well anyway, like a constant weight on my shoulders. I rarely allowed myself to fail. I think that's the only way I managed to deal with not doing well with school, is from my Saturn-Mercury trine. I have great focus and an excellent ability to research and concentrate, combined with the factor of Mercury in Scorpio.

I had the same issues though; thought switching from here to there in school would make it all better. I switched A LOT. But I found out I was often just running away from one issue and getting into another one after that.

@Pure Wow! Our charts ARE very similar indeed! I love it. I feel like we're very alike... maybe we can connect more. When is your birthday?

I see you have 9H Venus too. I have 9H Moon and I am obsessed with foreign culture and overseas travel to the point where traveling at my age has become a near obsession! I also have already become very dear friends with people over seas. Have you felt this way with your Venus placement?

Ugh... seems like we both have that nasty Mars-Neptune aspect as well. I also have the Mars-Uranus hard aspect. It's a ball, really. LOL. :/

How do you deal with this one? I see your Mars is actually quincunx your Neptune not opposition. I have actually felt before from my afflicted Mars that the way I see myself as a woman, sexually and dealing with others on a more intimate level greatly conflicts with my 'gifted' 2nd House self, the one that has unique talents and poetic-artistic gifts, and helps people with compassion and empathy. (Moon trine Neptune & Uranus, Neptune & Uranus sextile Venus, Jupiter and trine Chiron.) I honestly feel that my sexuality is a huge problem in my life. I can be extremely indecisive about it and I am actually a type of person who would do something insane for love... not like walking to the ends of the earth for another person, but being reckless, impulsive about things, etc etc. I can alternate between fierce and intimidating to lonely and depressed concerning my intimate relations with other people...

Also noticed you have ASC conjunct Pluto. Are you particularly 'magnetizing'?

I was born in 1996 so I'm about 2 years younger than you.

I'm very interested in foreign culture and would love to go traveling to at least one country in ever continent. Sadly I don't see myself traveling very much until my 20's after I've got university out of the way. I have also spoken to many people overseas, even though we've grown up in the technology era I find it facinating that it's even possible.

I can definetly relate to you when you say you can alternate between fierce and intimidating to lonely and depressed within your relations with others. I try and push certain people away who I feel are getting too close for my liking.

I have noticed that I attracted people to myself effortlessly. (Not trying to blow my own trumpet!) I have a problem with approaching other people first for a conversation so this definitely is a god send.

How does the lack of fire signs play out for you? Is your ascendant enough?

I too had trouble at school, was almost expelled thrice. The teachers liked me so the management couldn't go beyond suspension, parent-principal meeting, warning letters...

Saturn in the 3rd can lead to a highly disciplined & successful school life.
However, a debilitated Saturn(retrograde or/and in fall in Aries) is detrimental.

My 3H is in Aries. empty.
Mars in the 11th.
Sun combusts Mars in Sagittarius.
Mars sextile Saturn.

Sorry for the late reply Pure! School has made me so forgetful lately as usual, ugh. LOL, talk about on-topic...

Anyway, I see what you mean about the travel. 9H planets can make you yearn to be elsewhere it seems. 9H Moon makes me always yearning to go someplace else, expose myself to new places and faces, get to know OTHER things beyond what I have known my entire life... I greatly resent family for forcing me to stay in one place my entire life. I have hated hated hated where I've grown up and still am now, it's a total hell-hole with rich snobs, terrible people, ugly environment and the exact opposite of who I am! I've always wanted to get away. One of my favorite celebs Angelina Jolie also has 9H Moon, and one of my favorite quotes by her is something along the lines of, "Wherever I was... I was always looking out a window, wishing to be somewhere else." I totally relate to this.

Our 9H planets can indicate though, that we will move far beyond our home boundaries into higher territories, by whatever the planet dictates. In your case, it could also indicate that you will probably go beyond having a 'high school sweetheart' in life or a conventional love stemming from home roots and find love and/or companions elsewhere, far from home, as far as you go. Just a possibility.

I am the exact same way... when someone encroaches on emotional boundaries I can actually get quite snippy and cool. This is definitely the Mercurial energies mixed with my Moon. I usually do not explode unless my Mars really gets pushed out of its shell (the whole Cancer crab thing, you know!) and then the square to my Mercury just blows things out of proportion for me emotionally.

No, I know what you mean. I have this in quite a creepy way at times, where I can't turn off that subtle attractive energy especially to males. And my Mars placement ironically makes me think I am NOT 'all that'! It's a total, total paradox. Very trying...

I am still feeling the fire void out. I feel like I have some fire in me, since I have a double dose of fire on my ASC - Sagittarius rising in the 2nd decan of Aries - combined with a totally peregrine Sun, which can make one appear more Leonine at times. I feel there is some strange sense of fire in me but only in certain areas - mainly for my career and destiny. No surprise my Sun feeds off my fire ASC. How about you?

Sadly I have Saturn Rx in the natal chart so I do have discipline for school, it's literally like all through school I was OBSESSED with getting good grades and always managed to get nearly As on everything, and rarely a C, never a D or F. But it just ruined my spirit. I always felt like school crushed the vivid part of myself I loved. I can't wait to escape high school. Elementary education has been the longest, worst part of my life. Yet so many others I've communicated with have had similar issues to me as well. I know I'm not alone yet it doesn't help somehow. My Saturn is actually well aspected to other planets - if such a thing is even possible considering the nature of this planet - and adds serious wisdom to my Venus, Jupiter, NN and Mercury. Yet it can depress me and make me seem grouchy and boring in these areas as well. Venus Saturn = cold fish; Jupiter Saturn = stick in the mud; Mercury Saturn = always blue. That's the worst of it though, from what I've heard from blunt people. :-/ At least my Saturn won't let me be impulsive and childish like most people my age with these very serious areas. I think that's why I've always been serious about love, my thinking and reaching goals, because of Saturn's influence... so it's sort of good for something I guess.

Maybe the reason why you were inclined to getting in trouble was the Mars in Sagittarius thing, combined with it being combusted by the Sun? I think I could see Saggie Mars being overtly impulsive without really feeling bad about it, and willing to say you know, well **** YOU very much, in a real sarcastic way to their boss or teacher if they got annoyed enough, LOL. I have no idea why this came to mind but I know a Saggie Sun and Mercury person who is like this, so I figured with it so intensified by the Sun this sense of action could affect your entire identity (the Sun) and incline you to sometimes do things to get you into trouble like that. Especially since Mars is in the 11th... were you ever expelled for starting fights with peers? Just wondering.

Sweet Scorpion

People commented on Saturn in the 3rd. Saturns house does make for struggle. One must climb the mountain of Saturn by sign and house.

I would look to Pluto in the 12th as your major struggle as the 12th House planet will trump the chart imo.

Have I put my articles on 12th house planets up for you?

Pluto in the 12th may make you like a volcano with your primal energy getting pent up and turning inward. You know that a damn cannot stay pent up forever. Something has to give. That is Pluto in the 12th. Does that feel right?

Sometimes, the person may have a secret double life kind of thing where they are a sweet girl by day and promiscuous by night etc.
Does any of that fit?

Did you ever see the movie "Searching for Mr Goodbar". That seems like Pluto in the 12th. She was a demure elementary school teacher by day and super wild by night.

I am not saying YOU are like this but Pluto here can be a wild card Pluto.

LOL Ami, I love that! Oh my God... I have to go find this movie RIGHT NOW.

I am kind of like that. I think it's less obvious to other people, it's way more obvious to me. I also have Pluto trine Mars, and I strongly identify with animals... and the animal instinct to kill and attack. I know that sounds bizarre, but I actually have an amazing capacity for self-defense and kicking some serious ass! It surprises people when I say this a little laughingly but still seriously. They just don't believe me. But when that energy within really does explode, man... look out. Truth is, I am like a cheetah that's been poked and prodded at the zoo let out of the cage. Run man! Run! LOL. I just really can't hold back. And I have a tendency to suddenly snap and without even saying a word, punch people really hard and so swiftly... after one incident with this, someone asked me if I was a martial arts student. I said no, just a devout boxing fan.

I feel somewhat bad Pluto here can make me so aggressive... especially w/ the Mars trine you know? So the aggression can be let out physically above all else. But also through my career, since it sextiles my MC.

Yep, I did the chart of one girl who looked like the sweetest, purest thing and she had all these 12th house planets. She was into some dark sexual things in a totally separate secret life. I was the first one she told when I did her chart. That is why I am so passionate about the charts. They can set you free!

Ah, I see what you mean. I think a lot of celebrities with 12th house planets are like this. My fav. examples:

Marilyn Monroe: secretly addicted to pills and unstable personal life, had 12th house Pluto, ended up apparently overdosing to death.

Kurt Cobain: secretly had terrible heroin addiction, constantly battled media in attempt to keep this part of his image hidden, never could tell the truth about his struggles, accused of having a baby hooked on heroin at birth, ended up suicidal from pain of body but addiction as well; 12th house Pluto again.

Angelina Jolie: 12th house Venus has made her love life full of secret covert affairs, many of which have been blown up in the media back in her face, from lesbian relationships to relationships with already married men like Billy Bob Thorton, who she actually stole away from Laura Dern. 12th house Venus is inclined to leading a secret romantic life.

I really always identified with these people and I feel all of us having 12th house planets have something to do with it. I feel that with 12th house Pluto I can switch from relatively strong and creative, normal to intense, angry, aggressive, and a little deadly (ha-ha... why does this make me giggle?). I think people don't expect it of me which makes it even better. I also in life have struggled to hide my depression from other people and I could see myself becoming addicted to something like alcohol in my future if I'm not careful from this placement. I just hope that never happens to me. Especially since I'll be working in the 'biz'. and you have no private life there really...

It's okay! My current school is possibly the easiest school in the world and never takes up any of my personal life. Nonetheless, I'm glad I finish secondary education next year.

I pray I never end up in a long distance relationship. With my afflicted Neptune and Mars in a fire sign I do not trust myself at all. Venus in the 9th means I also try and convert my family members to my beliefs, which must be very annoying for them. My Grandmother now believes in astrology though! Does your 9th house moon give you good intuition?

Nor do I, you really have to push a lot of buttons to get me to explode; and when you do it's not pretty with Mars square Pluto! Luckily Pluto's in the 12th which keeps it very well hidden, only about 3 lucky people have had the pleasure of seeing it. Pluto trine Saturn also helps.

Ooh so you attract creepy men to? I do get approached by a lot of men in their early 20's. When they find out my age they don't even care and still want my number! Saturn trine Ascendant probably makes me seem more mature but I'm really not. My Mars makes me think I'm the bees knees the majority of the time!

It's funny because I attract a lot of watery people to me asking for advice or such (Ceres in 1st) and I can't respond to them in an emotional way, it's all very detatched and logic. Aside from not having very good intuition, I think the positives outweigh the negatives for me.

Hmm, I think this could possibly lead to difficulties Sand since it's retrograde.

This could have lead you to having possible communication difficulties with other people. This would directly affect your elementary education, K-12. I think I helped you with this one a little while ago? We said Jupiter Rx could make you have too rich of an inner world versus sharing your ideas with other people. The expansion goes inside, and isn't easily shared with others. Maybe you felt unlucky about school, or like you had limited opportunities there? What do you think? Jupiter Rx could have put the brakes on, literally, your H3 energies and made you feel unlucky or muddled in these areas, maybe. Lower education is definitely one of them. I think having Jupiter Rx here could make you feel like your elementary education delayed your higher education... since remember Jupiter = 9th house of higher education. And afflicted in your 3rd could indeed indicate lower education problems caused negative effects later in life. One very obvious interpretation of this would be, not necessarily in your case but just a possibility, being expelled or not getting enough credits causes one to not graduate and this prevents higher 9th house education.

What lies in your 9th house? Maybe something more positive here would indicate you could get past Jupiter Rx in the 3rd.

I never started fights with "peers". I picked fights with a few teachers & once, with the vice-principal. The management tried expelling me thrice but just couldn't.
Grounds:
- bunked classes with friends for one whole month.

- disrespectful behavior, talked back & walked out of a class. Wrote an article for an online newspaper that mocked a nun{my school's catholic}

- Bashed up an ex-boyfriend on the streets. We were in the same batch so his parents turned up at school. -_- Later that month, I hit his friend.

The teachers liked me & never let me go because they thought I was a smart student. They convinced the management that I'd made the school proud before & would continue doing so if they let me stay, which they did after staging funny drama.

Unlike you, I was never a consistent kid. If I didn't like a subject, I would get a D in it. If I was into something, no other student could beat me at it. If I was neutral toward a subject, I would get an A. My results fluctuated with my mood as well. This implies I flunked several exams because I didn't "feel" like studying. My parents completely stopped keeping tabs on my academic progress after grade 6 so it didn't matter.

My 9H is in Libra with Jupiter in it. Venus(conj merc) is in Sagittarius & my subjects are History, Journalism, tourism & french.
My 3H is in Aries but the subjects I chose in high school were Bio, Chem, Phy & Computer Sc. I don't understand how exactly this combo corresponds with martian energy.

I have some comments on what you said, I'll bullet point them.

*I definitely see how Libra Jupiter in the 9th kept you lucky enough to avoid actually getting expelled. I have a 9th house Moon in Virgo which combats the supposed communication issues that Saturn in the 3rd can bring. I find it very natural to communicative vividly with words and write great books as a result. My 9H Moon gave me a chance to rise above. Your 9H Jupiter gave you a chance to rise above. It gave you a shot of luck and kept you from getting into serious trouble, nor once but three times. That's just plain lucky! That's Jupiter for you, right?

*I sort of figured the trouble happened with friends. At first I thought maybe directed towards them, but it does make more sense that you ended up getting into the trouble while with people your age, either just associating or hanging out with them as in skipping classes, or getting into fights by punching that person. That makes sense to me from the Mars-Sun influence and 11th house Mars. I'm sure this Mars placement can make friendships both heated in an awesome way but then very aggressive at other times, like when you fight with friends? It makes sense to me to see you had a very assured self around companions and people your own age. This is what Mars in the 11th could bring.

*I can totally see also how the Sagittarius wit in your Mars and Sun plays into the trouble as well, like writing that article...

*I see what you mean about the grades fluctuating with your moods. This is probably because of the Aries influence on your 3rd. I'm close to an Aries who can be like that: nonchalant but good at what he likes, and totally stubborn and even hateful of what doesn't interest him. I can actually foresee him being the same way about grades in school.

*Hmm... not sure about the last one myself. Could I see your chart if you didn't mind? Maybe it has to do with something else? You don't have to show me, I was just curious about it but feel free to say no.

I don't remember the last time I argued with a female friend. But I can remember how after every argument, I'd go behind them with a puppy face on because I was almost always the one who crossed the line first. Back then, I was also quite immature to beat up 2 or 3 guys. Yes, they were jerks but I should've let them go. It's funny when I look back now.

Most of my male friends were older to me. The closest is a Leo who's 21 years old. I like the Sun/Saturn opposition we share. However, My female friends were all my age.

Self assured? I didn't care about most of them. I considered only 4 of them as my true friends; a gem(grade 5), a scorpio(grade 11 till now) & an aqua(grade 10).
I used to hangout with a lot of people but they meant nothing to me. I didn't realize the importance of friendship till grade 11. Have never had a best friend, that's too much of commitment IMO.

Astrologically, the square between my Moon & Mars links mood fluctuation with academic performance.

LOLZ!it's a birth chart, not a treasure map But I need to know how to post a natal chart before I post one.
