Hello! Hope you are doing well

I consider myself sorta new to astrology. I try to come on here and read as much as I can. I feel like I understand natal charts pretty well. My own natal chart actually fits me to the T, and that's what spooked me when I first started learning.

In synastry, there are also certain aspects that keep showing up. But they confuse me because I can't tell if it's a coincidence or if there's really something there. I have a hard time feeling attraction (of any sort) to men, but the ones I have liked... I have always had a Sun/Venus opposition with them, or a Moon/Mars conjunction with them. Is it common to have those show up again and again in the people you meet/like? I am not sure what those two mean exactly.

Thanks xox

Hi woodenrosary!
Welcome.

If you keep being attracted to people whose Venus opposes your Sun (or vice versa), it may be because your Sun rules a romantic/relationship house in your chart, for example the 5th, 7th or 8th houses.

Same goes for the Moon (or Mars).

But, it's also worth noting that Venus/Sun aspects are usually indicative of attraction on their own, even without ruling "romantic" houses; and Moon/Mars aspects in synastry are often very emotional and physical, so it's not surprising that two people with such contacts would be drawn to each other.

Thank you both very much!! My sun rules 8th house, so that does make sense.

When it comes to Synastry aspects, every aspect that exist - will make aspect to your natal aspects at one time or another.

However, how the aspects will appear in Synastry charts will follow a particular theme of aspect combinations. The theme of how the Synastry aspects show is based on your natal aspects. i.e. If your natal chart has your Moon in exact conjunct Mars aspect, then you will find that the other person's planets will make aspect to your natal planets in this manner:

1. other person's planet(s) conjunct your Moon and conjunct your Mars.

2. other person's planet(s) conjunct your Mars and conjunct your Moon.

3. other person's planet(s) sextile your Moon and sextile your Mars.

4. other person's planet(s) sextile your Mars and sextile your Moon.

5. other person's planet(s) square your Moon and it will also be square your Mars.

6. other person's planet(s) square your Mars and square your Moon.

7. other person's planet(s) trine your Moon and trine your Mars.

8. other person's planet(s) trine your Mars and trine your Moon.

9. other person's planet(s) opposition your Moon and opposition your Mars.

10. other person's planet(s) opposition your Mars and opposition your Moon.

These aspect sequences will appear and reappear in your Synastry aspect charts if you have Moon exact conjunction Mars in your natal chart. The listed 10 aspects are a theme that will run through your personal Synastry charts time and time again. If you do not have Moon conjunct Mars in your natal chart then the listed 10 aspect combinations will never appear in this manner.
