I'm trying to figure out the best way to classify this stellium so I can research it more accurately. Sun, Saturn, Jupiter, Pluto and Mercury in the 6th House, with everything in Libra except for Mercury (which sits in Scorpio). Is this one stellium or two? Or a stellium with a "sub-stellium" inside it? Or what? Thanks IP: Logged |

You would look up 6th house stellium. I'm not sure what they are but there are rules for how many degrees they can be apart to judge what is a stellium. IP: Logged |

Awesome. Thanks. I've been looking under "6th house stellium" up until now, but keep finding conflicting views. Go figure. Some people say it takes 3 planets. Others say it takes 4. Some say Sun, Venus and Mercury count. Others say they don't, or do but have additional considerations. Some say they have to be within a 10 degree spread, others say just within the same House or under the same sign. It all starts to get a little confusing... IP: Logged |

I wouldn't consider it a stellium. Jupiter-Saturn cnj, yes - Jupiter-Pluto, cnj wide. That puts Saturn (planet A) 10 degrees from planet C, (Pluto). If they are too loose to form a cnj with each other independently I don't consider it a stellium. Another thing to consider is how that effects aspects made between those planets, if they are not in a tight stellium formation... you will have entirely different aspects shared/not shared between them. Stelliums create a harmonious and focused region of the natal because they share virtually all the same aspects.my stellium is extremely tight, having planet A (Mercury, ASC-ruler/NN-MC ruler, dominant) cnj planet B (Neptune, DSC-ruler), cnj planet C (Jupiter, IC-NN-ruler, dominant) each by 1 deg, therefore they span 3 collective degrees, and are all cnj, same house, two signs (SAG-CAP cusp), everything that touches one, shares contact with the others. I'm sure there are some who give greater leeway for orb, but the overall distance and bodies involved should still matter first and foremost. (Sun, and especially Moon, would be applicable for a wider orb. *arc/size/distance) IP: Logged |

Okay, thanks everybody. Basically what I'm getting from all this is that consensus isn't an easy thing to reach when it comes to any of this stuff.@SaturnineMoth: Double thanks for the more detailed explanation. I'll admit you're mostly speaking Greek to me right now (this is in the beginner's section for a reason) but it gives me some key words to start searching with. IP: Logged | |
