I think the most difficult sun moon combo that I've met is my own: Taurus Sun & Cap Moon. I feel like it's hard for me to not worry incessantly over little things, plus I can be a little too brash, bold and bossy when it comes to teamwork. I also feel I'm way too critical of myself and push myself too hard at times. I've also been told I can be a little boring even though I do try to keep up a conversation.

I also have seen Libra Sun & Aries Moon people have a tough time because Libra wants to keep the peace while Aries wants to get their way at all costs. Cap sun/Leo moon people (my ex is a perfect example lol) have always seemed very judgemental and unwilling to listen to other people.

I've heard some difficult combos specially in guys is Leo/Capricorn, cause one is a show off and Cap delivers, not Sun/Moon more like Sun/ASC.

Pisces Sun with Scorpio Moon or vice versa--things that are very different and kind of polarized .

Maybe, Capricorn Sun and Pisces Moon or vice versa

Any square in natal - it's very tough.

I have a super tight one - by 7 minutes, Taurus sun, Leo moon. It is the epitome of overthinking - head vs heart all the time.

Upside is I'm often better prepared for drama cos I've already thought about how things might go down.

I'm surprised that the trine feels tough (Taurus sun, cap moon) - are either the sun or moon additionally affected by harsh aspects? Or is it more of an out of sign square?

I actually have a tight trine to my sun from Jupiter and no hard aspects to it really from anywhere else. Same for my moon. My sun is at 2 degrees Taurus and moon is at 9 Cap so a wide trine, def not too far apart. Maybe it's my moon on the cusp of my 7th and my 7th containing a Uranu-Neptune conjunction? Idk

Hey, we have matching suns 😁

I'm not a pro at all, but would be surprised if it was the sun-moon aspect or combination making things difficult. I think a cap moon by itself might be pretty heavy, so that could be something.

Do you have anything on your sun/moon mid point maybe? Off the top of my head, around Pisces 5-6?

I don't have anything on my sun moon midpoint and I don't have any family members or close personal people with planets on or opposing it

I totally agree with Stellia.
Sun/Moon squares in the Natal show that your person or core is at odds with your emotional nature. It doesn't flow naturally. It can show trouble expressing how you feel. It also shows issues between your parents at the time of your birth.

lalalinda I never knew that! In my case it's true - my parents only married because I was on the way, I was a proper shotgun baby - and into (my dad's) very catholic family as well.

They stayed together long enough to have two other surprise packages (my sisters - we were all 'accidents') but eventually separated when I was 14 - pretty much a saturn opposition of the relationship.

I don't think there is. Since discovering the Sun/Moon midpoint concept that suggests how the two energies can be merged, I find it eliminates stress in my case.

With my Midpoint Sun/Moon in Air sign and Libra, it is better to be more objective and neutral. Its helped tremendously with health and wellbeing.

Agree with squares between the lights in natal. Tight ones in aspect.

My thoughts are Aquarius sun and Scorpio moon squared. Both fixed signs and very different in nature. Sun being freedom loving and extrovert and moon being overwhelmed with emotions and introverted. Moon in Scorpio on its own is meant to be a very emotional as it is in fall.

Of course this could be a difficult combo more for the individual as much of that difficulty is probably internalised and others might not notice as much. As opposed to someone who projects a difficult personality outwards to others but finds it easy to express this energy even if it makes life difficult? If that is what the original post is asking?

This is a good point, and in my case, even having a very tight square, my sun-moon midpoint is conjunct my natal venus so I get some support there... although venus is square saturn (4deg) so... could be easier
