Hi everyone! You know there are some couples who look really good together. On screen it's usually called having chemistry, but you can see it in real life, too. They might have a great relationship or a not especially amazing one, but their looks somehow enchance and fit each other in all the right ways. And sometimes there are couples who have awesome loving relationships but you wouldn't exactly say they look good together, even if both are cute. What do you think is responsible for that? What should one look for in synastry charts? I heard a theory (the person who told me swore it was an old traditional one, but I never got proof either way) that in order to look good together a guy-girl couple needs to have both direct and reverse Yin-Yang contacts. As in, his "female" planets Moon and Venus to her "male" planets Sun and Mars. And her Moon/Venus to his Sun/Mars. At the same time. Not all the planets need to be involved, but both types of contacts should be present, and at least some of them should be harmonious. Also Venus is forbidden to have a harsh aspect to the luminaries or Venus of another person. Venus-Mars square/opp is the only one that's okay. I never really tested it, so it's just smth I heard. What do you think? Any statistics? Extra information? IP: Logged |

Yes, I think so, the Yin/Yang complements is a good explanation. Most couples look similar in some way, even if they are from different ethnicities. And although they don't loom similar, they have a harmonious energy about them. I don't understand the lack of hard aspects to luminaries or Venus/Venus idea. Why? ------------------

My husband and I have Composite Ascendant in Leo conjunct Regulas, with a 1st house extremely tight stellium of Sun, Moon, Venus, Mercury, and Mars. Valentine and Cupido are conjunct on our AC, too.Everyone has ALWAYS told us we look good together, perfect together, so great with each other. People really respond strongly to our Composite Leo AC on Regulas.

Not sure... though it looks logical. But I dated this guy, we had so many cute Venus-Jupiter aspects yet we didn't really look good together. I mean, we both are attractive people (humble too), but we somehow didn't fit each other's looks. If I were doing a photoshoot or casting a TV series, I wouldn't choose us as a couple. This is just one example though. Maybe some other factors were against it. We had Mars trine Venus too. quote: Originally posted by Orange: Composite Venus on MC or ASC
I wish I weren't lazy so I could check a lot of composites for some proper statistics. quote: Originally posted by hannaramaa: My Jupiter was in my date's 7th and I always got told we looked cute together.
It does look like the relationship should be lucky and attractive yeah. I'll need to add this factor to the list. quote: Originally posted by LeeLoo2014: Yes, I think so, the Yin/Yang complements is a good explanation. I think there was the idea that those hard aspects would make them aesthetically incompatible. Like, she's a beautiful girl but next to him she looks sickly pale instead of porcelain doll like. Smth like this. What makes me careful about this theory is that Yin/Yang complements are usually wanted in any good synastry. As in, then any couple with excellent synastry would also look good as a couple. IP: Logged |
