Yes, I did. Moon-Mars was with a best male friend. I liked him only in a platonic way. Venus-Mars was sexual. IP: Logged |

What kind of aspects are we talking about here? It seems to me Moon-Mars could be more diggible to people who aren't too concerned with gender roles.Venus-Mars Venus: Make me feel like a woman first. Mars: And you make me feel like a man. *mission accomplished* Mars: Now that we feel better about ourselves, let's have sex *ruffles up his feathers* Moon-Mars *heavy makeout* Mars: I want you... Moon: I want you too...But try to be gentle with me *trembles* Mars: I'll try *lifts her up and carries her to the bedroom* Venus wants to be chased and worshipped before she lets him get closer, Mars wants to conquer her. With Luna he simply wants to merge and she may want it too but first she needs to feel cared for and safe with him. She's more feely and delicate than Venus. Also, Moon-Mars could be a more compulsive connection due to the involvement of 2 instinctual planets. That's my impression. ------------------ Anomaling around since 1911. IP: Logged |

I've got MARS contraparallel to VENUS in my synastry with my boyfriend; more importantly, it's also the solstice (antiscia) point, which shows a very intrinsic relationship between the two points. I'm a fan. The other intense attraction I've felt (between the two) is a quindecile. And there's a MARS/MOON thing in that synastry as well; my MARS, his MOON. (Not exactly a fan of that one there.) My husband's MARS is trine my MOON. (1º) I concur that there's an extreme importance to feel safe before anything sexual can happen. My boyfriend's MARS is 2º semisextile my MOON. ... Meh? My MARS isn't aspecting his MOON. However, my PLUTO is exactly opposite it; PLUTO, being the higher octave of MARS, shows a more evolved relationship of that drive. But that's a whole 'nother story. I don't see either as better than the other.Moon/Mars when aspected well could be a beautiful balance of emotional vs. sexual energy. I have had lots of Venus-Mars and so maybe because of that, it's just not that special or exciting for me. IP: Logged |

I had Moon-Mars double whammy with someone a while back. It was instinctual, which was nice, but at the same time it can get a little boring. It's almost like you know each other too well. For me, we ended up just being friends - once I got over the intense Venus/Pluto conjunction, that is!I have friends from the past who liked me immensely, and upon looking at their chart, I realized we had a Venus-Mars connection. It seems like it would draw people to one another regardless of other differences. Just my experience. IP: Logged |

I'm not sure... Cause I have moon opposite mars in my own chart, and no venus-mars.So actually I would like moon-mars the most. It's so dynamic, sexual and active. I have venus conjunction mars in my relationship and moon quintile mars

there's something deeply primal and emotional about moon/mars. I love it. Even being the mars myself. You get the best of both, raw sexual energy and deep emotional connection. I have moon/mars conj natally so maybe that's why. It's 2015, we don't need to stick to traditionalism these days.Although we do also have venus/mars aspects and that feels nice. Venus/mars trine 0* with me being the mars again haha. But I kinda like feeling this boost of self confidence being the initiator in a way. It's certainly different but so refreshing. We do share a venus/mars parallel (i'm venus this time yay!) and a sun/moon parallel with him being the sun. This might make up for it and certainly softens it. IP: Logged |

I have natal Moon-Mars conjunction, conjunct my IC nonetheless. But I also have a lot of Venus squares (Moon square Venus, Mars square Venus, Venus square MC). Maybe that sways me in the direction of Venus-Mars connections.

I think an important thing to remember here is that it's possible to have strong physical attraction interplanetary synastry with someone and yet not be attracted to them romantically, because they simply don't fit our attraction pattern as shown by houses, and more, in the chart. So yes, it's possible to have either Venus/Mars or Mars/Moon with somebody that bothered about them. For every person that says they had a particular aspect and it was 'AMAZING', there'll be someone else who says the had it with a platonic friend and didn't feel any romantic vibes. Hitting someone's attraction pattern seems to be what actually activates physical attraction aspects in the first place. Having said that I'd say my favorite is Venus/Mars as long as it's accompanied by the person matching my attraction pattern, and aspecting certain house rulers (5th, 7th, 8th) and so on. But I'll take Mars/Moon too if I can have both. About the gender roles thing: Science has actually discovered that men and women are naturally different in their approaches. They have specific brain differences. This is not bad! Nothing wrong with embracing what nature has giving us. IP: Logged |

I've had Venus Mars as Venus. *yawn*...Venus and Mars conjunct my Sun, Venus square my Mars, Sun conjunct my Moon, Venus opposite Mars (who doesn't like that Scorpio Venus...), Moon Mars in same sign not conjunct... All were better I'd like to see Venus Mars with me as Mars, but Taurus influenced women in general just don't seem to find me interesting. IP: Logged |

i can imagine that someone's personals hitting your moon would feel really warm and familiar too considering its on the IC? The only notable aspect to my venus is a conjunction to my MC and lilith and semisextile to saturn. There's quite a few parallels though.. IP: Logged |

In my current relationship, we have an exact my Venus-Mars - his Moon - grand trine, and it is really hot. We know how to make each other tick and the sex is great. We can't keep our hands of of each other and even afterwards it's all sweet and cozy all night long. However, we also have an exact conjunction of his draconic Mars to my draconic Venus, and an exact opposition of my draconic Mars to his draconic Venus. And an exact double whammy of Eros Psyche opposition. IP: Logged |

For me it's hard to say because when I've only experienced either one a couple of times and twice I had moon Mars AND Venus/Mars with the guys. However when I try to differentiate between the two aspects, I'd probably say I'd say Venus/Mars. For me, when I've had hard aspects from a guy's Mars to my moon, there is an underlying fear. I am insecure that I'm being used. I think with hard aspects (I've experienced the square) Mars' intense sexuality and need for action can offend the sensitive moon's desire to actually connect with the other person. Often I've felt that I have a real connection with someone and when I try to connect and get to know them they bring it right back to sex. I think Venus/Mars is more playful and sexy whereas Moon/Mars can mean hurt feelings. I am talking about the square though, so maybe the effect would be better for easy aspects. IP: Logged |

I'm going to say that I prefer moon-Mars.Natally, I've got moon conjunct Mars in Aries and that's a lot of masculine energy tbh. So, I often need someone to match that energy. Usually, I'm the moon and to me, I think this is my own personal version of Venus/Mars given my natal. I've experienced Venus/Mars once and tbh, it was rather meh. The only thing I would say is that sexually, it he was more 'I'm willing to do what it takes to please you' - we had Venus/Mars DW. Whereas with moon/Mars there's a battle of wills and a fight for "control" - power plays - I think. IP: Logged |

I really feel the moon/Mars connection is better when Mars is the female and moon the male. It's like exploring the other that needs balancing within our own selves. I've always needed to strengthen my masculine and so this dynamic works perfectly for me. There's something so beautiful about a man being able to explore his softer side which balances his strength. Two polarities coming together.IP: Logged |

aubyanne I have a question, i needed to respond to this as I'm amazed with what you wrote. do you consider venus mars declinations alone if there is NO longitude synastry behind this? i share this with my partner we both have parallel DW venus mars under 1 orb its not exact but it is under 1 orb. ------------------ Sun Capricorn, Moon Aries, Libra Rising IP: Logged |
