For example you would look up upcoming transits to decide when to approach an important conversation with your s/o or delayed an event because the transits were not favorable?

Could you tell a difference?

I have tried. But a lot of times they don't work out (for me atleast).

I just watch out for strong/long transits during which I try to develop a habit that helps me in this regard. For instance, when Jupiter transits my first house, I work on increasing daily exercise so that there is no "expansion" of anything bad.

Yes, I've just rescheduled an event with a significant person as we would both have better transits on that day. How this will turn out we're yet to see but I'm not too hopeful as not everything is in our hands and even positive transits may not be experienced as such - they could feel either neutral or negative on a given day.

Also, you never know what could have been different if it was that other day you didn't want to select for the event/conversation.
Sometimes transits that may look negative may actually be required to create something more positive in the future.
