The person's natal chart is what counts first and foremost. Does that person have a temper? Issues with power? Authority? Are they highly sexed? Do they connect emotions with sex? So many factors are involved.

It always comes down to the natal. You have to see how that person's Mars or Nessus is functioning in the natal.

This applies to all synastry. You can have great aspects between two charts, but if those planets are under stress in their natals, it isn't going to be that happy interpretation you just read on the net.

And the reverse applies too. You could have a high tension aspect like Mars/Pluto between to charts (which some say is a red flag or violent even), but if both people are evolved and those planets are well placed in the natal, then that conjunction can shine as a very hot, sexual, and deep connection.

The interesting word you used here is "uncontrollable." No man's sex drive is uncontrollable. He may not have control of it, but that is him, not astrology.

Notice how such synastry feels early on. If you don't like how it feels (without worrying yourself consciously with the thought of it), then don't consider it a compatible relationship.

Agreed. No synastry can compel any man or woman to be a rapist or molester.

And all astrological energies hold both positive constructive and negative destructive tendencies. The outcome is determined by free will choices, which are most heavily influenced by early life development.

We also don't have to hold space for the worst case scenarios between two people in order to see incompatibility between them. I have Asc/Pluto opposite my wife's Mars, and my Mars parallel her Saturn. None of that, and nothing she could ever do would somehow spur me into worst case scenarios. I did not consider our synastry before I got with her or married her. I have no 'buyer's remorse'. She's the best thing that ever happened to me, because Spirit brought us together (no accident).

Spiritual integrity -- it's what determines how a person expresses the energy potentials in astrology, even if they know nothing of it.

The problem is that so many people are so hard up for a 'soul mate' that they'll egg on the 'chemistry' and overlook yellow or red flags about a prospect.

TRUST YOURSELF and know you deserve the best: Someone who appreciates you as you are. You may have to wait longer than you'd like for that, but insist on it.
