Our main sigs are making an applying square, moon (the situation) making an applying conjunction to his 3rd house ruler which is in it's rulership. Venus makes applying sextile to NN. Why didnt he contact me? Where's the "no"? Could it be because the moon doesn't have any dignity? I see no strictures...
Thx.

You put a very strict time frame on the question, that might be the problem, normally a horary works 3 to 6 months, give it that time and see what happens. So this might be a matter of asking not the right question, regardless what your reasons were for putting it that way. Hope you understand what I mean. Leave it open.

Had nothing to do with the question. Planetary hour was Sun. Chart not fit to be judged.

Thx for replying LP...can you explain the planetary hour thing causing the chart not fit to be judged? I haven't heard of this stricture before.

I don't see how this is a yes. You were applying to square Saturn, Mars was further away. It was a no and a clear one, I think.

Ruler of the hour is not a stricture against judgment, it only says if the question was "radical" or not - say if you actually meant it or asked out of boredom.

But Saturn is not a sig...it should not even matter that I am squaring Saturn..it is not a sig of me, him, or either of our 3rd houses..I don't understand what Saturn has to do with this being a "no"?

William Lilly explains:1
“All the ancients that have wrote of questions do give warning to the astrologer, that before he deliver judgement he should consider whether the figure is radical and capable of judgement. The question then shall be taken for radical, or fit to be judged, when the lord of the hour at the time of proposing the question, and erecting the figure, and the lord of the ascendant or first house, are of one triplicity, or be one, or of the same nature.”
Lilly then offers a demonstration, using a Mars-ruled hour, to illustrate exactly what he means:
􏰀 Hour-ruler and ascendant are of the same triplicity:
“As for example: let the lord of the hour be Mars, let the sign of Scorpio, Cancer or Pisces ascend, this question is then radical, because Mars is lord of the hour, and of the watery triplicity, or of those signs Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces.”
According to Lilly’s technique, Mars is the principle ruler of the water triplicity both by day and night. With the other triplicities, rulership changes according to whether the chart is diurnal or nocturnal. This agreement only applies when the planet is the appropriate triplicity ruler, (ie, for the fire triplicity: the Sun in a day- time chart, and Jupiter at night.)

Saturn is a denial of perfection. When you perfect a planet before your intended. Saturn disrupted BOTH significators. That's a "no" x2

This is not a 3rd house matter.

I understand that, but the avenue shouldn't even be explored.
