This artist is amazing, IMO, and quite the unintentional inspiration: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lG-7e1vaB18 In short she bought used dolls and altered them and now many want them even over the ones offered in stores. On a sentimental side at first I was just a wee bit sad seeing an old Bratz doll's face erased (I guess because I've seen some of the cartoons and sort of think of them as people) and yet after she was through it was very different, I felt that the character hadn't been "erased" but rather "freed"! And someone else apparently had similar feelings in the vid saying the dolls "look much happier now." IP: Logged |
