Hello Everyone

I'm currently a student majoring in Criminal Justice, I still haven't decided what I would like to specialize in. I have done a lot of research of careers that fall under criminal justice field and I found a couple that called out to me. I'm interested in the Intelligence Analyst field and I'm also interested in the Investigation field. I know it also helps to know what subjects you like that falls under your major which for me would be criminology, security and law. I think this subject blend well with the career I mention to you guys. I wanted to know if my chart shows that I would fall into the Criminal Justice field. It also well help if anyone know any other field that fall under criminal justice that I would be a good fit I would be interested of knowing about.

Thanks for reading guys this would definitely help me out

Not from looking at the chart, but have you considered forensics? I took a course on it.

I actually checked out the course in college because I was interested but then I notice that its heavy on the science. Which i dont mind because science is a subject i excel but its really not a area i find interesting. I've heard of forensic accounting which is a a area i find interesting. How was the course for you? Did you like it?

You have a very Capricorn rich chart; Sun, Mercury,Uranus,Neptune are all in Capricorn with Saturn and Uranus in mutual reception.

Now, long ago, it was said that Aquarius was ruled by Saturn and, even though things have changed since then,I often find that traditional rulers cannot be done away with altogether.

It makes sense that you would want to do something with a great deal of logic and reason. A thing that not only preserves a set system(law and governance), but may also seek to better its implementation;sorting facts, analyzing and scrutinizing information etc.Saturnine energy is all about efficiency and preservation of a known system that is accepted by all(Law and Order).

But,I must add a disclaimer that when I am looking into a career, the position of the Mars house and sign is critical. Add to that the aspects and other considerations.

Now your Mars is in Cancer- Water energy that is emotional and situated in the 11th.

Before we consider the aspect, let us look at Mars in Cancer.

We know that, from study,Cancer is a sign that is ruled by instincts, emotion and feelings. When Mars is in Cancer, these instincts are sharpened and one uses them to navigate oneself in the outer world.

Mars in 11th is to fight for one's ideals. It is very much a "crusader" placement as one uses resources and energy to fight for 11th house principles of equality, justice and fairness for all.

It is also a placement that makes one determined to make one's hopes/dreams/wishes (11th)come true by investing time and energy in pursuing them(Mars)

Now Mars enjoys an opposition by outer planet Neptune,Uranus and a square aspect from Jupiter.

The opposition with Neptune involves doing things "behind the scenes" or far from the glaring light.

It may even suggest working irregular hours,night-shift or being unable to separate your job from your daily life.

Much like people who work below others, this aspect also suggests that you may not get much personal recognition for what you do and may be happy with the reward of a having done a job well done.

Neptune-Mars opposition also increases the intuitive capacity of Mars in Cancer and makes you the type of person to use your expansive creative abilities(Neptune)at work.

Mars-Uranus opposition aspect suggest that the nature of the work is likely to be erratic, unstable and at times, very demanding and may involve sophisticated electrical gadgets and technological "know-how".

Its also a position that suggests that there will be many changes at work or that people you collaborate with, often change.

You will seldom be greeted with the same problem twice and, perhaps, your work will also include relocation, traveling or dropping things(at last minute)to go and attend something that is work-related.

All in all, there is never a dull moment.

The square to Jupiter suggests work that is done on the "umbrella" of "for the greater good". There is morality, ethics, values and reputation attached to the job.

There will be emphasis on belief systems, modes of operating, trust, discretion etc within the job. People will be held accountable for whatever wrongdoing and be "shamed" for it.

As you read through this essay(apologies), please bare in mind the crucial position of Mars in Cancer.

That position suggests that, whatever career path you choose,it must be one where you can exercise a lot of your innate premonition, your gut instincts and abilities to "feel" your way through.

In order for the career path to be a success,it has to be something that you "feel" from your base level and helps to have you feel "needed" and wanted for that area of specialization.

You may even have an interest in dealing with kids, minors, domestic or "home-related" cases etc as Cancer energy is all about that.

Good Luck.

Thanks so much for this It definitely helps to evaluate my career goals. I lately been thinking what motivates me and what I feel such a strong pull too. I realize that I would like to be in a Career that helps the public. A Career that when crisis hits I can be there to defused the problem. A career where i can help the community to be safer from crime. Those are the criteria I look into a career. I've been thinking that I would like to work for the FBI but more behind the scene, I personally cant imagine myself being a special Agent. I know the FBI have a division that is dedicated towards Organize Crime ex. Gangs. Thats a unit I would like to work for as a Intel, being that I lived in a neighborhood that is infested by gangs member and the effect they have on community which I've seen first hand. Also I was checking out the National Guard , it have the message of " Rescue a State from a state of Emergency" which is something I feel strongly about. To summarize it all someone would say my career theme is my job being in the "Defense" or something that is physical , creative and intelligence. Going back to what you said;

"The square to Jupiter suggests work that is done on the "umbrella" of "for the greater good". There is morality, ethics, values and reputation attached to the job."

I stand strongly with that quote , as you can see working in the FBI or National Guard fits the whole "for the greater good" and the reputation for both agency are high for me.

"In order for the career path to be a success,it has to be something that you "feel" from your base level and helps to have you feel "needed" and wanted for that area of specialization."

I definitely agree I have need to have a strong pull towards my career and something I feel strongly about to be successful in my career.

Also I notice you emphasize a lot on "Mars" I was wondering is it because in the only planet i have above .

Other people may filter in a lot of other things, but I usually look at Mars(for the sake of brevity and the essence of one's career path).

When it comes to the day-in-day-out grinding and actual work processes, Mercury governs.

We do most, if not all, our work from Mercury. You could actually say, metaphorically speaking, the many additions of Mercury make up Mars.

In that, it is the many small details and tasks that we accomplish each day that make up our career.

So, looking at it from that angle, I would also add that Mercury in Capricorn conjunct Neptune/Uranus,squaring Jupiter and opposing Mars-details what your everyday matters will entail.

Mercury conjunct Neptune and widely squaring Jupiter suggests that you are not good with details and prefer to look at the "overall picture".

If your work starts to become about paper handling- you will not be satisfied. Nor will you be inspired.

Mercury conjunct Uranus amplifies the suggestion of working with electronic devices, sophisticated equipment and technological gadgets.

Mercury conjunct Uranus/Neptune and square Jupiter also suggest a chaotic, frenzied and "busy" work station. Either way this aspect suggests that there is always a challenge to overcome and if there isn't one, boredom creeps in.

But Mercury governs the details of what you'll meet up with with- whatever work you choose.Every job is 80% admin, Mercury governs the admin bit.

You may choose to open an ice cream business, for instance, and many of the Mercury aspects spoken of, will be part of your day-day grind.

Perhaps,in the above "ice cream business example, the "sophisticated" gadget interpretation (Mercury conjunct Uranus) will manifest as your ice cream machines occasionally malfunctioning or you having issues with the supplier of your merchandise delivering on time or delivering the wrong supplies etc.

Mars is where the passion and drive is. Mars tells you if what you are doing inspires you and makes you want to give that much more etc.

We can all work any job to pay bills(Mercury will be there anyways),but how many people do you know who are working at a job they hate?

You can even see that in the way they go about attending to daily tasks for that is when their Mars sign is telling them that "this isn't it!" etc.

When you are attentive to Mars, carving out a sustainable career for yourself becomes very rewarding.
