As I've gotten older I've realized some things about myself. I'm incredibly loyal but I'm also volatile. I long for the feeling of pride when going to and coming home from work, but I haven't had that in a while. And it's not about making tons of money. It's about doing a good job, working with driven people who want the same thing and an appropriate pay. My partner is very different from me, although he is a sun cancer, and I'm a sun leo, he works like a maniac and would never consider an "appropriate" wage (in my opinion.) While he seems to be loyal to his workplace I have many feet in every direction. I have a degree, but not in a field that I am passionate about. I work in a field that requires a degree that I am passionate about and I work in incredibly different fields and new ones, less academic, and study new things, every so often. It probably makes me look confused. I would love to feel like I fit in somewhere, in one place or two, and be proud over my job. I could probably be loyal without being volatile.

Hi Raincow! ...

I read what you wrote several times over.

You know what it reminds me of? The Book of Ecclesiastes {scripture} where the author is saying that all is vanity-- that all is futility; purposeless activity.

It begs the question of all of us really really deep within...

What are we doing this for?

Is there something 'else', something overarching in meaning that we need to grasp?

You and your partner... You are the common denominators in this. You have a human 'partnership', as well as economic. You are people who watch over each other daily. You are both working 'for the money' .....

Remember-- that you have "each other"... Loyally have each other. And that is sooo Beautiful.

When you have another person in your life that is Committed to you, then you have Riches you haven't truly stopped to "take in" for yourselves.

When the working day is done... It's so Beautiful to stop a moment, look at that other person, and really Connect.

Life... is but a Dream

You're a truly sensitive soul, Raincow.

Your Sun Leo is in the Venus natural money house.

Pisces would be in a quincunx position to your Sun Leo? meaning that your feelings keep having to go through adjustments to stay happy as you would want. Your Moon is chart ruler (water) to your water Pisces Moon.

Moon Pisces in the 9th? Aquarius Cusp? ...

The 9th is an International house, and also known as God's Natural (Sag/Jupiter) House--

There may be a rebellious kind of streak that picks at you, underneath in your feelings. This is even about making your OWN Beliefs! With Pisces Moon there, I would imagine your are a very Inclusive soul. And if you can't make up your mind right now?, tNeptune is crossing your H9 to H10, is IN H10? Neptune can cause confusion? Needs to express Soul on the Higher Side. Seeking Higher Roads. Ideals.

The Moon in the 9th house is known to be a restless position, and sometimes needs and wants to make those (what "seems" like more abruptive) changes-- you sense and need to have things arranged to make sense to YOU... !

It's the house of Higher Education, foreign-travels, religion.

You want to Encompass 'the whole thing'! Cosmic! Make your OWN palette. You need to be able to 'feel' it... before incorporating it to your Values?

Moon in the Ninth learns a lot by travelling (especially Educationally)... go to foreign-like places for a seminar or workshop?

Your report of a kind of lability or volatility at this time are pretty much the same as many people right now. ...

Full Moon tonight/tomorrow in Libra ... Is that in your 5th House? or do you have interceptions?

Anyways, Jupiter (transiting in Libra, is retro) is across from the transiting Sun-Uranus ... your 11th?

Changes (or innovations) in your 5th and 11th?

Venus is retro grade, and meeting with Chiron. Will go direct on Sunday, and hold more time with Chiron, while turning to go the other way. (She's blessing your 10th?)

The transiting NN will soon change signs from Virgo to LEO. (Nodes run backwards) Highlighting your Possessions, Talents, Self-Esteem, looking at your Values.

I wish you The Absolute Best, in Love, in Projects, and finding some innovative way to incorporate everything you want in Life!

Don't worry so harshly about 'making decisions' right now. ALLOW it to come to you. "Receive."

(I'm not a professional at ALL! LOL. I'm still getting my feet wet trying to interpret charts... Much Love to you!)

Seeing this thread again, from 2017.

Seemed more that Raincow created this thread for expressing her 'frustration'.

Life's career path doesn't always flow with the expected 'logic'? -- That one's college degree should exactly lead to job that takes all that learning and translates it into Big Cash for Living.

Another surprise too, can be that you think you'll be hired at levels 'above' the others (without your having-had prior months or years of experience). With some jobs, you 'grow' into them by spending time there. You get observed for a while. It is rare that you get hired straight-into the top-most positions for your field without first having proven yourself in a lesser position.

She was surprised/frustrated at her Cancer Sun partner who was happy working his job, and not demanding a higher wage for what he does. {Which, IF he only were to demand more higher wages, then they as-a-couple could afford a more-upscale style of living. Would be more able to compete in the styles that CEO's and those higher on the corporate levels seem to enjoy in the material world.}

I remember the moment in my past history where I realized for-certain how a person only gets paid for the specific "job" they are assigned to "do". You can be freakin' over-qualified "as a person" working that particular job-- but IN that job, you don't get paid for your qualifications and developed skills.

Although... *laughing at self*.

I had worked over 20 years as a Temp. I had a 6 month assignment for handling switchboard position at an engineering firm. You had to be good on this new kind of electronic switchboard {I was a natural, and, had been trained on it by the manufacturers while it was still an experiment}, and do 40 word/minute typing chores. The typing involved a lot of long numbers to create a daily log {trips by company cars that their engineers took each day}. Tedious.

I finished whatever typing was involved very quickly each day. At that time, I was tested at 93 words/minute when the job only required 40.
{These were the days of the various generations of IBM typewriters. Word-Processing and use of Computers had not been introduced yet.}

The various secretaries could 'hear' how fast I typed. They were not keeping up with their typing work load, and, I helped them a couple of times. Then, they started 'complaining' to HR that they wanted to put their load on 'me'.

Thing was, that 'level' of typing (on other jobs I was sent to) was paid DOUBLE the amount I was getting for this switchboard/receptionist job. The HR person was ..kind of scary looking!!! An oldish TALL square-bodied masculine-looking big-woman with a natural angry scowl on her face. She 'commanded' me; she told me to 'take on' the extra workload of the administrative secretaries.

Now usually, I would just 'go ahead' and 'do' it, "because I was skilled at it." I like helping others out. I'm a natural team player. I had already helped those women, but they were kind of nasty, in spite of my 'support' and kindly bailing them out of their 'moment'.

Those admin secretaries hadn't been that nice to me since the start of my assignment with them. Thing I liked best about that job was looking forward to the visit from the FED-Ex guy who would purposely take his break in my small office area each day. He was into metaphysics. A buddhist. We'd talk about all my favorite energizing kinds of things for about an hour, each late-morning. I liked that job FOR those moments.

I considered the job's pros and cons.

That, and, with how frightening the demeanor and personality of the HR person was, in my head I started thinking of just releasing that position now. They were putting work requirement on me whose wages by far did NOT commensurate my skills; plus, considered that the company didn't have a nice social atmosphere either. It was cold. Exclusive. They plainly weren't that nice! .. haha.

Thinking that the HR would become angry if I refused, I braced myself for that. In my working history, I had never complained about work I'd been assigned, EVER.

Told HR Lady how I had worked temp assignments at the 'level' of her admin secretaries. That she had hired me at a MUCH lower wage, and now demanded I do more than 'my job' as simple receptionist. .. Got the nerve to tell her I refused to do their advanced (engineering) typing for them on the scale of a Receptionists wage.

Oh yeahhhh.... she DID get super-angry.
I thought, yep. That's it. No more assignment here!

The weekend went by. Next work day, she came to me and offered that 'when' I do the admin secretarial work, that I could clock-in at more than double my wages.

I thought 'wow'! Thought she was going to fire me.

Maybe Raincow's Cancer Sun husband had considered the 'work social environment' added to the enjoyment of his job.

Toxic work environments ~~
Not worth what they pay.
Takes an emotional toll as well as adding to stress on the physical.

Working in Cooperative Environments ADD to your life.
If you go home to family in the Evening, have had a Better Day in a Work Environment that had Good Vibes, then that experience/mood carries over to your home-life each day.
