Levon wears his war wound like a crown
He calls his child Jesus
'Cause he likes the name
And he sends him to the finest school in town
Levon, Levon likes his money
He makes a lot they say
Spends his days counting
In a garage by the motorway

He was born a pauper to a pawn on a Christmas day
When the New York Times said God is dead
And the war's begun
Alvin Tostig has a son today
And he shall be Levon
And he shall be a Goodman
And he shall be Levon
In tradition with the family plan

And he shall be Levon
And he shall be a Goodman
He shall be Levon
Levon sells cartoon balloons in town
His family business thrives
Jesus blows up balloons all day
Sits on the porch swing watching them fly
And Jesus he wants to go to Venus

Leave, Levon far behind
Take a balloon and go sailing
While Levon, Levon slowly dies
He was born a pauper to a pawn on a Christmas day
When the New York Times said God is dead
And the war's begun
Alvin Tostig has a son today
And he shall be Levon
And he shall be a Goodman
And he shall be Levon
In tradition with the family plan

And he shall be Levon
And he shall be a Goodman
He shall be Levon
And he shall be Levon
And he shall be a Goodman
And he shall be Levon
In tradition with the family plan

And he shall be Levon
And he shall be a Goodman
He shall be Levon

In tradition with the family plan...

Elton John and husband David Furnish named their first child Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John.

...'cause they liked the name.

The Hot Air Affair is this weekend! It is lauded for being the premier winter ballooning event and winter festival in the Midwest.

It's super cool and lots of fun. I especially like the parade of balloon gondolas down the old main street & when the balloonists light up the night on the Saturday evening Moon Glow or Field of Fire event.

Hudson Hot Air Affair announces the theme “Bringing Fun to 2021” for our annual hot air balloon rally and winter festival on February 5-7, 2021 in Hudson, WI. With a legacy of 32 years, the Hot Air Affair is a family tradition for many of our participants, our sponsors and the community.

The weather outlook is not favorable. In fact, quite bleak.

Meddling arctic vortexes. No fun. Brrr & boo.

Not in tradition with the family plan.

Bitterly cold today. Below zero.

Staying inside.

Maybe watch the balloon in Mike Todd's movie instead.

It takes practice. With practice, you'd find there are many common clues/words.

It's best to start off with Dell's Easy Fast-n-Fun Crosswords puzzle books before advancing to...

...the more difficult crossword puzzles in The New York Times.

Dell Horoscope and Dell Crosswords--good starting points for astrology and crossword puzzles, respectively.

If only we could add poetry to the mix.

Wouldn't that be dreamy?

A giant crossword puzzle of your favorite poetry/lyrics from your favorite artists, sprinkled with astrology for good measure!!!

To me, that would be epic!

By the way, my youngest son, who traveled to Hawaii with me to visit Michael Goodman, turned 10-years old today!

Double digit birthday!

Pretty big deal!

Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John, Elton's son, is the same age as my son. 10-years old!

I remember we were expecting around the same time. John Travolta was expecting too.

Being a parent of a certain age, I recall reassuring my partner..."Don't worry. It'll be okay. You're not too old to have a baby. Elton John & John Travolta are having babies too. And if Elton Jon and John Travolta aren't too old to have babies, then you're not too old either."

Case closed.

Real convo. Serious.

Instead of Jesus, I'd call my child baby Moses...as a mother, for obvious reasons.

I'd put my babe in a basket afloat on the water safe from certain death.

Probably call him Moe for short.

I originally posted this in The OOber Galaxy on the 22nd of February 2016, but it belongs here.

LEVON Helm plays drums on and sings the song "Up On Cripple Creek"...

"Up on Cripple Creek she sends me
If I spring a leak she mends me
I don't have to speak, she defends me
A drunkard's dream if I ever did see one"

______________________________________________

(By the way...Pisces presides over springs, leaks, creeks, drunkards, and dreams.)

The Band - The Making of "Up On Cripple Creek"

"Levon, he shall be a Goodman...
In tradition with the family plan."
