Actually the tortoise's name was Jonathon. Old Thomas was a human being who lived for a very long time and sprouted some new teeth while he did it.

If you live long enough, your next set of teeth keep coming in.

Wouldn't that be nice.... if humans, who lose baby teeth and get only one set of permanent teeth, could have a 2nd Chance series. No dentures!

Interesting. <-- not a toothy grin!

I think your oral cavity would have to be in good shape. Most older people lose a lot of bone and gum tissue, leading to that pinched jaw look. You could not imagine new teeth appearing in a mouth that looked like that.

He could grow new teeth, but he would have to grow new jawbone and gum tissue first, or then again,

you can be happy as you are!

Dentists say that growing new teeth, gum and jawbone is impossible.

I've always loved that song, but, in this case what is needed is bone moistened with blood, electrolytes and other body fluids, to support the oral structures!

^ Whoah!!!!!!! for ~real. Wouldn't it be cool if we could have a third set? But then, we'd have to go through the process of teething again?? O cranky~cranky

I don't think they give out the use of paregoric the way they used to? I'm allergic to the opiods anyway.

Gave my kids pieces of icy washcloths to chew on. Forgot what all else I used to use....
