So, everyone seems to be so interested in living forever and such, but ever since I was a little girl, I've seriously wondered what it would be like to die. To the point of considering suicide, not as a means to escape such a depraved and miserable life, but to see what it would be like to "expire"Why are we searching to experience every aspect of life but rejecting death? Isn't death a part of life? have you ever seen someone die, or right after, and witnessed the pure peace on their face? IP: Logged |

Personally I've gotten over the whole fascination with death thing. I think it's something that either intruiges or scares the heck out of most everyone. I know I've died many times before and thinking about doing it again does nothing for me. This lifetime is different. I am not coming from a place of fearing death, I got over that awhile ago. I just would like to live as long as possible in this lifetime. Advance spiritually as much as I can while in this body. Why die and have to start all over if I dont have to? So it's not really about rejecting death it's more about living life fully. And yes, I have witnessed someone die. It can be peacefull for some. There is nothing wrong with it. But there are other options if you choose them. Living or dying, the choice is yours and neither is right or wrong.  I think dying sounds boring though. And no, I dont think when you die it's just blackness and that is it. I'd just rather live life to the fullest and longest. If you want to see what it is like to "expire" (again) then you will. "Isnt death a part of life?" Well, so we've been told! And our cells have been programmed. I've been told alot of things that I've found out not to be true.  What you believe will be, will be. "If you love yourself and your life, it does not matter if you are here for another five minutes or another 5000 years.
Most of us assume that physical immortality is just about being around for a lot longer, but this is only a by-product of it if we so choose, for physical immortality is a state of consciousness, a state of being. "

Interesting that 26T then appeared to reverse her opinion regarding death. I wonder where she is at now.Zozo is right. I think every human being has a curiosity about what it would feel like to let go of life. There is a taboo on recognising this, even among non immortalists. ------------------

I understand your point. I also always wondered how would dying feel like and what is there on the ' other side'. But I think maybe if you have been so interested on dying it could be that your real interes was about spirituality and inner peace not about dying itself. But as in society and in a lot of religions dying is presented as an easy quick way to achieve peace and spiritual experiences... then seems very atractive. I don't have the absolute truth of course but for all I read and for what my intuition tells me, I think it makes not so much diference to be alive or dead.
I mean ... it seems you carry in your spirit the same pains or the same strugles you are having while you are alive. And if you didn't achieve enlightement then you anyway choose to encarnate again and find yourself in the same situation. I think dying may be a very good experience because I guess if you are stock here in your life and can't keep learning, dead may be like a help for you to understand things better and to renew yourself and find some light. Linda herself she says you have your right to choose to die and to encarnate again if you need that experience. But she is just saying , this is a longer and more complicated proces than just keeping yourself alive and finding peace and spirituality while you are alive. Also she says you can have like... astral trips. Which may give you that peace experience people have when they die but without needing to die.
I mean that experience of great peace, you can have it while you are alive anyway. IP: Logged | |
