...it brings us to 20, which is not good. So, I either need to consolidate a current Forum (two into one) or add another one to make the total 21. Aside from that, we need volunteers for a Moderator, suggestions for a name, and ideas for the additional Forum (if we go that route).

Well.. If you do go with a second new forum..I wonder if there are enough gardeners or persons interested in gardening to justify a forum for that. I think that would be pretty interesting and useful to me personally, since I really want to get more into it myself and would welcome a place to discuss and ask questions..

How many gardeners or interested students of it do we have round here?

YOU can count me as a gardener and would be happy if we had a gardening forum.

This is great! Lots of interest so far..

Juni, I had a feeling you'd have some solid knowledge to contribute.
Horticulturist license? Awesome! It's a field I am toying with going back to school to study..

What if the forum was a combination of gardening and ecology/cycles of nature type of thing as well? So we could discuss stuff about plants and natural processes that went beyond just horticulture.

Y'know.. like Permaculture.
And Humanure's place in the human nutrient cycle! Thanks for the suggestion Pixel..

It seems like it would even be a nice compliment to the animal forum!

Randall,

On your original post of New Forum ideas needed, I thought you said you were going to eliminate the Moderator's Forum and replace it with something else, which would still = 19.

I would love to be a moderator for the animal forum. I did have some ideas for a title.

"Our Furry, Feathered & Scaley Friends"
"Pet & Animal Talk"
"Heathcliff's Corner" (Linda's dog)
"Pumpkin Peace & Blueberry Love's Friends" (Linda's cats) (Bones was also their cat)

I'll try to think of more. I also have a lot of ideas for topics which I've been holding off.

I Love the idea of a Gardening forum! It could be all about plants, trees, flowers, vegetable gardening, nature spirits who tend to nature, etc. I can't wait to start our vegetable garden this year!!!!

I think it would also be neat to discuss plants/flowers/trees native to our geographic area. It would be very educational.

Heathcliff's Corner

Randall, have you decided to keep the Moderator's Forum?

Animals and gardens. Yay. I love both ideas. Nothing wrong with 20, though. It is The Awakening as well as The Last Judgement. And 2 is the High Priestess. Still, I'd like to see both animals and gardening. Both are lifetime pursuits for me!

I have a confession to make

When I first typed the ideas for a Title for the animal forum, I *accidentally* typed

"Pumpkin Pie and Blueberry Cheesecake Friends"......after submitting it, I realized, OHMYGOSH! and had to edit it LOL

Hey.......I was just thinking of something.....what a great time for the new forums......SPRING is around the corner, especially perfect for the Gardening forum!

Most of the Mods are happier having a place of their own to relax.

LOVE the gardening forum idea. Nothing makes me happier than tending my little patch of Earth. Flowers, veggies, the environment, Mama Earth, nature spirits - sounds perfect. I've been dancing around the idea of going back to school for a horticultural degree too.

Heathcliff's Corner sounds so cute.

Frankly I think we're good as we are. People can discuss animals and gardening in FFA, can't they?
