Linda didn't talk about Chinese Astrology, so I'm putting this under the Free-for-all category, and not under Astrology.

First of all, let me say that any relationship can work with Love, mutual respect, and genuine effort IF both parties want it to. Positive attraction (as in Chinese astrology) or positive Aspects (as in Western astrology synastries) can make the ride smoother (but no less fulfilling, for Love is its own reward).

That said, the most compatible animals with a Rabbit are the Ox, Snake, and Goat. (Your friend, Dan, is an Ox, by the way.) The Rat, Dog, and Pig come a close second.

The Dog and Rabbit have one very big problem--taking each other for granted. Of course, the Inner Companion (based upon One's hour of birth) can significantly alter this equation.

I am a dragon!!! I breathe fire!!! GROOOARR!

Actually, if memory serves me correctly, the type of dragon for my particular year, 1976, is "The Dragon Flying Towards Heaven".

Can you dig it? I knew that you could!

Got my book out...let's see what it says
THE LUCKY RABBIT - supposed to have very good luck with things..most compatable with PIGS and SHEEP...
worst enemy is the ROOSTER

THE WISE SNAKE - Highly Intutive, but skeptical. Fast learners who truly learn from their mistakes BUT NEVER CROSS THEM...you won't survive! Compatable with OX and ROOSTER. Worst enemy PIG..

THE METHODICAL OX...Fiercely loyal, a great provider, but on his own terms...succeeds by their own merits. Compatable with SNAKES and ROOSTERS...worst enemy SHEEP.

NOW FOR THE BEST...DRAGONS!!!!
THE DAUNTLESS DRAGON - Doers and go getters...forceful and enthusiastic.
Proud...(what, pride goeth before a fall...nonsense..well, maybe)
Compatable with RATS and MONKIES.
Worst enemy DOG...

That is what is said...also says unless they are your worst enemy, you can get along with them.

Just to show you, I can't really see Dan as an OX...loyal and self improving yes, but sticking to routines and traditions...give me a break! MILITARY DISCIPLINARIAN...
wow...

Now, some things yes...me and Gooberlily as DRAGONS...MOST CERTAINLY!!!!

Just shows one never should read a book by its cover A person is just too complex to fit into nice neat catagories...

YIVY, I don't really agree with your book entirely, but yes you are right when saying that we are all much too complex to fit in neat little categories.

My Chinese sign is Tiger therefore I am a double Roar!! My Western Sun sign is a Leo

I love dragons! My Alma Mater's Mascot is a Dragon! Wonder why they'd assign Dragon to Deaf and Blind children. Strong sign, don't you think?? Powerful Sign, indeed!

I think you would really have to rub that Ox in just the right way to get him/her to make that particular sound
