Is it just me, or has insomnia become an epidemic? Seriously, its so rare these days to find people, especially youngsters, who can honestly say they had a good night's sleep!

I can sleep for 8-9 hours a night, but I still feel totally unrested. And I'm up until 3-4 AM in the morning!

The last time I had a good night sleep was when I had a sleeping pill and since I hate having any kind of chemicals or stimulants in my body, imagine how horrible that feels

Well, I'm sixteen, and on weekdays I average about four hours of sleep everynight, but it depends. Sometimes I'll get exhausted and hit the bed at four in the afternoon and not wake up until 5 30 AM. On weekends I tend to get about thirteen hours of sleep every night.

Ugh, I hate it though, I feel like I don't have any time to even breath anymore, let alone have a time to rest, think, and sleep.

Funny that you bumped this today.
I couldn't sleep last night.
This is not unusual, unfortunately, but I really couldn't sleep last night.
Really really.
I think I banked about three hours.
No nap today either. hmmmmm. Poopy.

Thanks. Has a quick nap, turns around, grabs maya, spoons like a mommy and sings right back.

I just moved into a new place and well you know that sleep may not come as easy as it did when you were comfortable in your old place. But I found out something that works for me everytime I am having problems sleeping. Go out and buy this CD that plays Thunder and rain. Infact that is the name of the CD Thunder and rain. It is Awesome. Have you ever noticed that you seem to sleep really good when it is rainging outside and some thunder mankes you just want to snuggle under the covers and relax. I slept like a baby last night. my room was pitch black and I put on that CD not real loud but at a good level and almost the minute my head hit the pillow I was out, and slept all night. I would not use it every night so that I do not get use to it but here and there will be good. By the way I bought the CD at Target.. $7.99...

OMG Mama - that is amazing! I LOVE those nature sound cds - I even have some with whale sounds and they are amazing!

Being the total nitpick, I recorded some of those tracks in such a way that it begins with thunder, goes on to rain, with intermittent whale sounds and then by the time its morning, the chirpy rainforest birds come in - I used it to make my 2 yr old sleep and he absolutely loves it!

cool.
I have an automated sound player thingy that shuts off after an hour, or you can let it play all night. It plays like six different sounds.. rain, heartbeat, waves, blah blah blah... I like the 'white noise' option. I bought it when I was gung-ho about doing theraputic massage. I even have a portable table. 'cept, I only use the sound player thingy at night, ( sometimes it still doesn't work) and the portable massage table is collecting dust.
I am wearing big heels tonight. Only a seminar though.....
