Does anyone happen to know where the notion of aliens looking like big-headed little-bodied bug-eyed beings that sort of look like a fetus came about? Or even that aliens are sort of...mean and scary, because everytime I hear about aliens on UFO shows, documentaries, or in books, they're always doing experiments on humans, things like anal probes . I just wonder these things, I mean I've watched documentaries with people claiming to have been abducted, and this image of aliens like this is almost always that way...and the image of aliens looks like that too with things that've come out of Roswell...I guess I find the view of how extraterrestrials portrayed in some shows/movies as more interesting than the weird bug-eyed skinny ultra-head things, sometimes as human-ish, or even recently seeing/reading Hitchhiker's Guide - the Vogons, for one, are a very different 'breed' of alien. It goes back to the Hill couple who were supposedly abducted by aliens and then hypnotized to recall their abductors.------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Lewis Carroll IP: Logged |

Ooooo! Great Subject!!! Are you describing Greys? I think because most of the evidence points to the majority of those who've had close encounters describe Greys.
I really believe the Governments of many Countries are fully aware of Aliens but refuse to admit/acknowledge their existance to the public. I have watched many documentaries over the course of my life, and am fascinated by the subject.

Have you heard of the collective subconscience? Many people believe that we all need something to believe in like aliens and this theory explains some of that. Like Randall said....the Hill's have a lot to do with it. I have also heard that a large number of abductees were sexually abused as children which may explain the anal probes. Personally, I don't know what to think. There is so much stuff out there about this subject that I find it hard to believe any one thing. IP: Logged |

The History Channel often airs documentaries about UFOs and Area 51 and all of that- if you ever happen to have the time to watch them, they have lot's of really interesting information.IP: Logged |

I think the whole idea is a bit silly. But I haven't done a lot of research on it or anything - just watched some of those specials on TV and read one book a friend suggested. I forgot the title, but the book was all about a group of women who thought that they had had alien babies that had been taken away to live in the stars. It was annoying.

That does sound like a silly concept for a book, Johnny, but all of those 'semi-lunatic' fields, including astrology, have people that go into weird extremeties that mis-represent them. Like those really old gypsies that hound you down in parks for an astrological reading and then tell you that you were supposed to die three weeks ago because you're a Virgo. You'll probably find things that balance out the craziness if you did some research on UFOs . The crazy stuff usually gets more of a spotlight.IP: Logged |

(kidding) Yes, but Everlong, research is for people who like to make informed decisions! I prefer to make snap judgements out of ignorance and prejudice and then ridicule anyone who disagrees with me! (/kidding)IP: Logged |

That image may have made an appearance before. Here is a Sumerian statue of an IGI.GI ... translated, "Those who observe and see". According to the six thousand year old texts, their job was to oversee operations of the space platforms and vehicles, controlling/engineering the transportation of mining goods/materials between bases on Mars, the Moon, and Earth. Wow. Too cool! "The Ones who See and Observe!" Why can't I have a name like that? IP: Logged |
