I've been wondering about you and your little guy. I thought that surely by now he'd made his appearance. Any updates for us?

I'm wishing you strength, focus, and the sparkliest of blessings. And I'm giddy with anticipation for you. How very exciting!

You're not the only one!

Thanks for asking, mama F-U ( you'll hopefully not hear a lot of that in the future... ahahha.)

I have had many false starts this week... lots of pre-labour.. to the point where I timed them for five hours, and even called the midwife for a heads up.
But everything is progress... and the more I dilate now the less hard labour I will be in. This is tolerable, if a little patience provoking.
I had a stretch and sweep on tuesday, and it was quite effective. I thought for sure it would start things off for real, last night I had regular contractions, and they felt more real than the ones earlier in the week..... alas, boys want to stay.
My first son I had a lot of pre labour with as well.
My daughter was straight and to the point. She started letting me know she wanted out right on her due date, no pre game show at all. Then voila, there she was.

I think boys just want to stay near or in wombs as much as possible. So they'll start signalling it's time, and then cling, and hold on, and change their mind.
Luckily, these boys are twelve years apart. So by the time one is too old to be at home and tries that clingy trick again, the other one won't be anywhere near staying.. he'll be long gone, on his wonderful career.

I slept in a bit today. Catching up for the hard work ahead. Usually I am up way earlier, no matter what time I go to sleep.
My hips and pelvis are so sore, and my belly button has well and truly popped. That means it's done. It was sort of flat, and the bottom part stuck out. Now it's an outie. That's like the timer on an oven, and I'm dinging.

He has a name for sure, no more settling for me. Elliot Lennon.
That is what it is and I am happy with it.
No more 'I think' or 'I Hope'.. this was my original choice ( Elliot was anyway) and hubby pooed on it, then realized it was easier to poo than go through the emotional challenges of looking, so finally relented.

He is estimated to be about eight pounds or so. I'm a bit dilated.
Honestly, I was aiming for yesterday, because then we'd both have 28th birthdays. Alas, the contractions, while 'meatier' than the last batch never got to the real stage, and I slept, and it went away.
Hopefully the next time you see me opening a thread, it's titled "He's Here."

The good thing about a home birth is everything is right here.

Thanks for asking!!! As usual, I could chat and chat and chat.

See???? That's hilarious, it proves it!!!!!

I picture this little boy grabbing on to any projections he can on the way out.. "NOOOOOOOOOOO!!! STAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY!!!"

Technically I have a week to go, but that was the default date, we weren't sure. I have been measuring consistently a week bigger, and well.. I am impatient for him to come.
He's being evicted.

Yeah, I thought that would be cool too! I think baby's like to come during Full Moons too, if the folklore holds true.

PLus, he'd have a Virgo Moon.

A Pisces with a Virgo Moon...complexity!!!.... and his mom is a Scorpio with a Cappy Moon.
It's practically perfect.
Now if he'd only listen!

Oh I like that prediction!!!!!

Here's my pic from today, if you're interested.
I've looked better in the ass area, but what do you want ... SOMETHING has to support this huge belly! PLus, I store it there for nursing.
I'm not ashamed.

Love the name, love the fact that he's already being a typical momma's boy, and love the fact he will be a dreamy little Pisces merman. Now get here 4pm sharp so you can witness the Full Moon!

No baby yet.
*sigh*

But thank you all so much!!!
I am glad the name is a good one. I love it, I really do. Send some good labour vibes my way please!!!

I wish you the most smoooooth delivery. If you can post while you are having little Elliot, we'll all pray at the same time!
I hear that what makes a pregnant woman "Glow" is the pure spirit of the fetus inside. Hmmmmm. Tell the midwife not to smack the little bugger when he comes out, it's not in his karma to be spanked!
Best wishes!
