Life has kinda beat me up as of late...
Sucker punched a few times and just a sense of violation... like being beaten and robbed... (and yes, I was a victim in an armed robbery).. That sense of violation is a very real thing.
I've been trying to heal alot of wounds that I've let fester.. causing a sincere dislike of who I am...
Since a professional therapist is out of reach finacially, I've been doing some other things.
I bought a set of "Mirror Cards" Anybody used them?
I think they are a wonderful source of guidance for self- healing.
Unfortunately, they do not work on someone else... they are not about anyone else.
I so wanted to share them with you.. as in pull a card for you, but the questions can only be about yourself.
So, after following the instructions I asked away and focused on freeing myself from the obsessive, co-dependant, depressed state of funk I have become.. and the card I pulled was "JOY" (not inverted).

Some of what it reads:

"Young children abound with joy, simply because they don't feel the need to worry about the future and sort things out. This brings them solidly in the present, where they can fully experience the living moment. They jump for joy and "with" joy: to reach it and because of it.
Joy is not "out there". It's in you, and it always has been. You've just shrouded it with fears and negative beliefs. Joy is the most ephemeral of feelings and only exists in the moment."

I was witness to this later that day as I attended the local "Invention Convention" with my daughter. She had advanced with her invention, display and oral presentation.. to the district round and she was so very excited.
"Hurry up and wait" was the theme and while waiting I struck up a conversation with another parent at the table. I had noticed she was reading a book about Neptune. "Alive and Well with Neptune" or something like that.. I soon mentioned Astrology and come to find out she is a professional Astrologer with a Pshycology degree and a School Teacher. She retired from the latter and is doing conultations full time...
She agreed to barter services and so, another source of help....
A big release that day... kinda like i was able to stand a little taller....
And I truly felt joy right along with my daughter who did advance to the Regional round in May. I am very proud of her.
We both left with a spring in our step and it felt really good...

Just had to share...

Star ~

How wonderful that the "Joy" card came up amidst your challenges and pain, and that your daughter tasted some sweet success, and you found a fellow astrology kindred spirit!! "Alive and Well With Neptune" is a wonderful book by Bil Tierney -- I think I may have put up a few excerpts -- if not, would you like yours?? Think I have it in my files.....
I've never heard of the Mirror cards before.....

Star ~

I'm sad to read that you've hit such a rough patch on the road
Your Transit Rhythmogram shows a bit of a lull right now while Saturn dominates the landscape, and Neptune is winding up for another pitch after the Summer.....

Hi Zala

Thanks for your kind words...
And for the link back to my own topic
I often link it for others and printed out your pdf files... Didn't realize it was one in the same... with the book she was reading....

It was great to talk with someone (face to face) about Astrology..
She was very surprised to find me a Virgo... Which surprised me... since I have 5 planets in the sign... She said i seemed very Plutonian... I guess I wobble between the two... A Pullen rank using equal houses ranks Scorpio 1st.. even with 5 planets in Virgo.. So maybe thats why I have been brooding and am impossible to figure out..lol

Things are a little better... A little Sunshine (even though its cold AGAIN) does me wonders.... Been working out, too.. that always helps the tension load...

Hope you have a lovely Holiday!!!.. Kids are on Spring break so I'm looking forward to having fun...

edit to add:

The Mirror Cards....I love them!! http://www.geoffcharley.com/mirror_cards.htm
