chocolate and raspberry

chocolate and cherry

This one seems gross but I really like it - lima beans and cottage cheese

mashed potatoes and horseradish

mushrooms and horseradish

grilled mushrooms, green peppers and onions with olive oil (on top of a burger on an onion roll with swiss cheese)

celery and bleu cheese

red potatoes with bleu cheese

warm biscuits with honey

I'll stop now... I could go on and on
I didn't eat dinner last night.... I'm hungry

Oh, why?!

Bread with EV olive oil and freshly ground black pepper.

Buttered popcorn with hot sauce (Cholula is the best).

Black beans with white rice, crumbled white cheese and a whole lotta' lime.

Potato salad on your greens salad with a roasted sesame dressing. (Weird but very tasty.)

Strawberries with chocolate sauce.

Pecans and vanilla yogurt. (A handful of pecans followed by a spoonful of yogurt ... yummy!)

Almonds and raisins.

Avocado slices with EV olive oil drizzled over them and just a dash of sea salt.

Pico de gallo ... cilantro, tomato, onion and lime juice, sometimes hot peppers, too. Absolutely delicious as a salsa/dip, with soups, rice, salads, etc.

Nicaraguan Fritanga ... moro/gallo pinto (beans and rice but for this red beans are best), fried cheese, plantain strips/chips, hot salsa, and coleslaw. For meaties, pollo asado (roasted chicken, especially with bell peppers) is delicious with this.

Also, in my meaty days, pan con bistec (steak sandwich, Cuban style) was unbeatable.

I'll stop as I am now quite hungry and must go forage quietly in our kitchen so I don't wake up the baby.

I like chili & cheese, too! I like to take the small bags of fritos and put a spoonful (or 2) of chili right in the bag... top with cheese... My kids call it a "walking taco".. lol

lalalinda...

Cole Slaw is good on Sloppy Joes, too. I will have to try it with the BBQ... that sounds awesome...
I am now officially hungry!!!!

Stargazer,

We must have the same taste in food

Your Frito bag sounds like a good solution in my house (my boys are always hungry)

I will definately be trying the sloppy joe/slaw.

Some of those are intriguing SunChild. I think I'd be ok trying the watermelon with pepper. It's interesting that a lot of them have something sweet with something spicy. Raspberry and chili with orange juice is another intriguing combo.
