The new Kanye West CD, Late Registration.

I Gold Digger(the one with Jamie Fox).

There are lots of great songs on it!

I'm also really diggin' Omarion lately.

Does Kanye West remind anyone else of Carlton Banks (Alfonso Ribeiro)?

She take my money when I'm in need
Yea she's a trifflin friend indeed
Oh she's a gold digga way over town
That digs on me

I went clubbing last night, so techno/dance, and then an 80's mix.
At home, it's been a "Weezer" compilation, mixed with Jack Johnson.
Eclectic yes.

I saw this songwriter on PBS last night and was very impressed:
www.viennateng.com

She's kind of in the vein of Tori Amos, but less Leonine-Scorpio-ish and more "airish" (I don't kow what her sign is but I get a strong Aqua vibe frorm her - Amos, BTW is a Leo-Lib-Sco). I don't get that "listen to me! adore me! call me a genius! join my cult!" vibe I get from Amos - it's more of a "here's my songs- take it or leave it" thing that I'm more comfortable with. Plus she's a really good songwriter and pianist.

Thanks for the reference, Gemnymph.
I checked out her bio and liked her influences and the casual way she talked.
Downloaded some songs, and now I like her too!
I can see her influences for sure. Such a sweet voice.

A Cancer friend of mine let me borrow Groove Armada. I never listened to it. I think I heard a little and didn't care for it.

Weird. You guys talk of female piano player singers, and I went to listen to a song I downloaded that claimed to be Bjork and Fiona Apple singing Leaving On a Jet Plane. It clearly wasn't, but it was a great version, so I typed in the title of the song on Google, and Chantal Kreviazuk's name popped up. I downloaded a couple more of her songs, and they are really good. Some are a bit traditional for my tastes, but good none the less. The stripped down ones are the better of them. I'm guessing she's a water sign at this point.

I think you'd like her, PP.

Looks like a Scorpio in that first pic on her site.
