Hi All,

Well, we had to postpone me moving to Germany. Actually, fate worked to our advantage even when it seemed like it was working against us. The red tape caused my orders to be delayed to the point where we had to have the Army put my stuff in storage and some in partial release while Bear returned to Germany on Saturday to get things straightened out.

WE then found out that I need to have surgery that will result in a 4-6 week recovery where I won't be mobile for at least 3 weeks and will be hospitalized for 2-3 days.

We decided that it would be better for me to stay in Idaho with my mom and then go to Germany..

What is it they say about the best laid plans? Well, it is a great thing that the cats and I could not fly out to Germany because when Bear got home he found out that he would be leaving... He is deploying to Iraq next week to join the platoon he used to lead. The other plt sgt is in hot water for something back here and has to face some intense questioning. Bear is the only one qualified to take over that position and they need him out there.

The good news is that he will be home within 5 months and I'll have fully recovered from my surgery. I get to spend all this time with my family (nephews) and I know he will return safely.

It is funny how things work out... soon I will be starting classes full time to become an RN and will go from there (I'll finish in Germany).

Sorry it has been so long. My computer is in storage but Bear bought me a laptop that should arrive within a few weeks.

Take care... lots of love..

Wow, Pid - talk about an about face of plans! You sound so optimistic, inspite of everything. I just love Saggies. I'll include You AND Bear in my shout-outs to the heavens, in light of recent developments.

When I read you have to have surgery, I have to admit that freeked me out a little. Very curious what is wrong, but I understand if its too personal to share on a public forum. I just hope your lady stuff is ok, or will be. I don't why, but I'm assuming it may have something to do with that.

Nice to hear from you, Pid. Try to pop around every couple days, if you can.

Jeez, a lil more than a slight change in plans eh? lol...when it rains it pours...

You know that everything happens for a reason, but when so many changes come at you at once, what the heck?!!

I wish all the best to the both of you, keep that Sag spirit high.

Booooo... I had this long psot with reponses to everyone and the darn thing didn't post.

Okay... let's try this again.

Thank you all for your well wishes. Bear and I are doing well and Bear leaves within 48 hours to go down range (Iraq). I am proud of him and his courage and can't help but feel optimistic over everything. Such is life.... I am fortunate to have met the love of my life and where the path takes us doesn't matter as long as we are together - even if only in spirit like now.

The surgery I am going to have is to remove a fibroid in my uterus. A fibroid is a non-cancerous tumor and in my case is a bit large and has caused a couple of micarriages while hurting actual conception. According to the gyno, I can get pregnant but the location of the fibroid prevents total implantation or growth of the fetus.

The surgery is similar to a C-section in that they have to go through my abdominal wall in order to access the uterus.

The worst case scenario is that the growth has invaded my healthy uterine tissue which has to be removed- that will prevent me from ever conceiving. Should that be the case, Bear and I will be sad, but as was said before, everything happens for a reason. Fibroids are common in my age group in women that have not had children. It is also a family inherited problem. I have an Aries grandmother and aunt that both had uterine cancer (after they had kids) and both are still alive and kicking at 93 and 95.

Again.. I will keep everyone up to date. I finally have access to the internet (THANK YOU BEAR FOR THE LAPTOP).....

Mirandee,

Thank you for your well wishes. I appreciate your words- sincerely.

Love to all...

Pidaua

Pidaua,

I know you and I have had some differences in the past, so I hope you don't mind me posting in your thread.

I just wanted you to know that I will keep both you and Bear in my evening meditationals for his safe return, and for you to have a surgery without complications, and for you to have a quick return to health. May you both be held gently and lovingly.

Blessings to you and yours,
GG

dear Pidaua ~

i wish Bear well in Iraq and hope for his safe return to you....and i wish you well in your surgery and pray for good health for you and rapid healing.

it was very sweet of your husband to provide you with a new laptop...i know that he will miss you and be heavy with concern for you while he is gone. as i know that your heart will have as much concern for him. i know you find comfort in each other's strength though -- you both are so strong.

be blessed and safe, both of you....

love, naiad

Pid ~

Wishing you all the best for your surgery
The fibroids I had were large and bleeding and it felt like I had a bowling ball in my abdomen, so I had a total hysterectomy -- I don't feel that yours will be as serious.....

Sending healing thoughts your way -- when is the surgery??

Pidaua,

Thank you. I was hesitant to post, but am glad I did.

I don't know if you had thought of this or would be interested. If you have access to a qualified Traditional Chinese Medicine/Acupuncture practictioner close to you, this person could help build your body back up after surgery, and also to help with conceiving if you would want to choose that.

Be blessed,
GG

I hope that only the tumor has to be removed and that you and Bear go on to have as many kids as you want, Pid.

Never had a fibroid but have heard that they can be very painful.
