Any thoughts?

INTENSO;
as an ANAGRAM
of TENSION.
Totally different definitions; but does kind of show word evolutions/connections betwixt languages.
quote:
noun ten·sion \ˈten(t)-shən\

: a feeling of nervousness that makes you unable to relax

: a feeling of nervousness, excitement, or fear that is created in a movie, book, etc.

: a state in which people, groups, countries, etc., disagree with and feel anger toward each other

quote:
intenso adj
[frío, dolor, actividad] intense
[emoción] powerful, strong
[recuerdo] vivid
[color] deep, intense
[bronceado] deep
[corriente eléctrica] strong

Tension refers to more a state of stress and intensio to a state of power/strength.

Similar words but not exactly the same definitions.

Thak you for sharing!

Yes I know that TENSION and INTENSO do not have the same meaning.
You asked

You appeared to want to know if there were any spiritual and or esoteric meaning/significance and or the reasons why TENSION Anagrams into INTENSO; which etymology does illustrate.
It seems I did not explain my view clearly.
It is pretty much as Randall said:

They do share basic word evolution aspects. Both deal with the amount/strength of the matter whether stress related as in TENSION; OR the strength of determination and focus as INTENSO demonstrates,
I hope I explained that well enough.
Looking into the etymologies of both words is interesting.
quote:

tension (n.)
1530s, "a stretched condition," from Middle French tension (16c.) or directly from Latin tensionem (nominative tensio) "a stretching" (in Medieval Latin "a struggle, contest"), noun of state from tensus, past participle of tendere "to stretch," from PIE root *ten- "stretch" (see tenet). The sense of "nervous strain" is first recorded 1763. The meaning "stress along lines of electromotive force" (as in high-tension wires) is recorded from 1785.

Note that the words TENSION AND INTENSO have very similar connections/definitions when viewed from the angle of etymology.
quote:
English Translation of INTENSO
=INTENSE

quote:
intense (adj.)
c. 1400, from Middle French intense (13c.), from Latin intensus "stretched, strained, tight," originally past participle of intendere "to stretch out, strain" ;thus, literally, "high-strung." Related: Intensely.

All have within their etymological definitions, various references to "stretching and straining"
a few other languages besides English and Portuguese share much the same etymologies concerning the words TENSION and INTENSO/INTENSE.
A bit more on another related word:
quote:

intension (n.)
c. 1600, from Latin intensionem (nominative intensio)
"a stretching, straining, effort," noun of action from past participle stem of intendere
.
Note the the nominative word INTENSIO and its basic meanings;
"a stretching, straining, effort,"
noun of action from past participle stem of intendere;
then compare to
TENSION.
Thank you1 It was fun looking into all that!

Still looking your name over.

Do you have any new questions?
Do you need/want your words in German from your user name?

Here are some words from your user name "TensionEmpire".
I have not checked them over for errors completely. Will do that this evening hopefully.
