This has been of interest to me as of late, as it is was brought to my attention during a download...upon research I learned indeed Gaia does have 7 Chakras or Energy centers and it makes total sense...as we have ours as a living entities so should the heavenly bodies, and us guys being the sub-sub-logoi, shows the oneness of our energy field with that of Gaia, the Sun, and the Galaxy.
By learning to tune into that oneness, we can indeed aid her through this time of transformation and not destroy our planet in our Ascension as we selfishly have planets in the past, can leave her as a legacy of what love and light can do, and balance the Karma.

So first things first, does anyone know the 7 Chakras and what there purposes are?

@ ABS...they do in a way.
I meant to get back here and post them.

In order...
1st or Root Chakra – Grand Canyon/Mnt Shasta/Sedona/Black Mesa (North America

2nd or Sacral Chakra – Machu Pacchu/Peru/Amazon River (South America)

3rd or Navel/Solar Plexus Chakra – Uluru, Australia

4th or Heart Chakra – Glastonbury Tor, U.K (Europe) -or- Ganges River, India (Asia)

5th or Throat Chakra – Giza/Nile River/Nile Delta (Africa)

6th Chakra or Third Eye- Mt. Fuji, Japan (Asia)

7th or Crown Chakra – Mt. Kailash, Tibet (Asia)

And they all correlate with our Chakric centers as well.

I have to say that when I first learned of this that I felt the same connection that I did when I first look at an Astrology chart....like I was supposed to already know what it meant...and how to work with it...

So I have been doing alot of research on them lately between that and my own meditations I have come to realization that we must work with these Chakras as we have in civilizations past in order to truly learn our connection to Gaia and to help her through this transition.
Right now most of us give very little thought to Gaia as a living entity and few of us work with her Chakric centers. Perhaps it is time that all of us did. Because thoughts are Energy so what you think about is where your Energy goes.

In order to understand though you must first understand your own Chakric system as as many dont, I posted this in the Health forum...read it before you read on.
http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum3/HTML/002588.html

Now that that is understood how does that tie into the Gaias Root Chakra.
Well here is where I have been learning alot from Robert Coon and his amazing research and body of work...

First what is an Earth Chakra?

Geography teaches us about the continents, oceans, mountains, and rivers of the world. Geology studies stone formations – the skeleton of the Earth. These sciences investigate the more material aspects of the planetary body. The study of Earth Chakras is more akin to acupuncture, in that we are exploring the more subtle energy structures of the Earth.

Earth chakras are like bodily organs that are vital to the health of the world, and to all living beings dependent upon the various environments provided by the world. Each chakra serves a different function, which is two-fold:

1. To maintain the overall global health
2. To transmit and receive energy encoded with information.

There is one great Earth Chakra located on each continent, with the exception of Antarctica. (Antarctica has major subtle organs also. Their locations and functions will be described at a later time.) At the centre of each chakra is a major sacred site. From this sacred centre, the chakra expands in a circular fashion – its radius extending for hundreds of miles. If an earth chakra was operating in a state of optimum health, the approximate radius would, in most cases, be approximately 777 miles. It must be remembered that this is only an average figure, as all chakras are living organs which expand and contract, according to the complexity of conditions which may affect them.

Earth chakras also have depth and height. Thus, the overall shape of an earth chakra is spherical, or like a flying saucer, with a maximum circumference on the Earth’s surface, and with vertical extensions into the atmosphere, and in a subterranean direction to connect with the Earth’s deeper structures. Transmissions from the world chakras often take this same shape – sphere or saucer – as they travel through air, water, or earth.

The sacred site at the centre of a chakra largely defines the purpose of the world organ. Myths, legends and archetypal symbolisms traditional to the site illuminate the function of each earth chakra. Also, the regional human culture in each area takes on some of the “flavour” of the earth chakra located in its vicinity.

Each chakra is a dynamic vortex of subtle energies. In some situations, these forces may spin and spiral in either clockwise or anti-clockwise directions. In other circumstances, the power of an earth chakra may be directed in a straight line along what are termed dragon paths, ley lines, or song lines. These connective pathways are analogous to the human circulatory, nervous, or acupuncture meridian systems. The great ley arteries of the Earth connect one continental earth chakra to another.

The Earth can not be understood in isolation from the rest of the solar system. In particular, the rhythms of the moon and sun are vital. Also, the various movements of the Earth itself are important. All of these terrestrial, lunar, and solar movements have a profound effect upon the earth chakras. For this reason it is essential to always ask this question: When are the most auspicious times to interact with the various earth chakras? Each chakra has its own place in time.

In addition to the solar system, the earth chakras are also open to the forces of the four elements – fire, air, water, and earth. For this reason, all earth chakras have their major horizontal dimensions conjunct the Earth’s surface, where they are in direct contact with sun, air, and water. There are no subterranean or submarine earth chakras.

The world has a heart chakra. It also has will, vitality, and communicative centres. Each individual chakra has its own unique contribution to make to the health and destiny of the world. It is important to remember – as we locate and define the functions of the earth chakras – that their continual interaction among themselves is the key to a greater quality of life on the planet. No earth chakra acts in isolation to the others.

First we must memorize where the Chakras are and must be able to point them out on a map. We have to learn the basics first and go from there.

There is some argument over the specific portion of the Root Chakra where the most Energy can be felt. But Mnt Shasta in California is thought to be the place of the strongest concentration of this Chakric Center.

Mt. Shasta is located at the southern end of the Cascade Range, which runs like a dragon from northern California, through Oregon, and through Washington to the Canadian border. There are many powerful mountains in this range, with Mt. Shasta and Mount Rainier – overlooking Seattle – the best known. If Shasta is the tail of this dragon, then Rainier is its mouth, or head. Impulses generated from Mt. Shasta, and directed to Mt. Rainier, resulted in the 1947 “UFO” phenomena gaining world attention. This increase in earth chakra transmission was in reaction to humanity’s introduction of atomic weaponry to conclude World War II.

Shasta is the most primal of the earth chakras. It is at the “base” of the world energy system. Here, the raw precursors of biological life are released into global circulation and development. Mt. Shasta regulates the universal life force prior to its integration into individual life forms and species. The energy of Shasta, as the first chakra, is like a geyser – a great uprush of life energy, or prana, without shape or structure.

When working with the forces of Mt. Shasta, it is vital to transfer all evoked energies to at least one of the other major world chakras. The life current of Shasta does not take form until it is transformed within one of the other great continental chakras. There are times when the transfer is from Chakra One to Chakra Two, or from One to Seven, for example. Factors which determine the direction of these transfers are understood as our knowledge of how the Chakra works increases as well as our experience in dealing with her Energies.

shasta is a long way from sedona. how can it be the same chakra?

i have just read a book by a man named peter mt shasta. the area is full of people who believe their is a center for ascended beings inside the mountain. whether that makes it a chakra or not i don't know. my daughter is very sensitive to energy and just driving past the mountain gave her the shivers.

drunvalo melchizedek talks about the earth's kundalini energy and how it has been moving, since 1949 (when the chinese revolution occurred) from tibet towards guatemala...have you come across his stuff obrm?

or peter mt shasta's?

Hey sorry I missed this one...Kat...here is a map that I located

Sedonna and Mnt Shasta are about 12 hours apart...but there is a strong connection between them both and the Earths Root Chakra...and there is a ley line that connects both spots. Ive seen it in my Energy Grid visualizations.

Quinnie...all of the Energy in the Middle
East appears to me to be connected the Chakra there in Egypt when I do my visualizations.
Which is the communication or throat chakra...and when you look
at the prevading issues of those countries they very much resonate with Throat Chakra lower Energy level issues...
It basically seems like in this area no one listens to what Gaia is saying...the lower level emotions of hate, and greed, and pride all block effective communication...no where in the world do we see such disregard for the Essence of life.

Consider this Quinnie its written by Robert Coon:
"Chakra Five: Great Pyramid, Mt. Sinai, and Mt. of Olives
The world “Throat” chakra, where the voice of Earth is emerging, is unique among the world sacred centres. Alone among the chakras, it is not on either the Rainbow Serpent (feminine) or Plumed Serpent (masculine) ley flows. By its spinning function this chakra does help to drive the force along the Rainbow Serpent path – but at a great distance. This sphere of fifth chakra energies, in the Middle East, is also a major component of another vital Earth structure – the Four Vortices, or Spinner Wheels, which regulate qualities related to the four elements of fire, air, water, and earth. Sacred sites related to these four areas will be described after this section on the seven world chakras.

For all of the earth chakras, the art of listening to the will of the Earth is something which needs to be mastered. Humans will never harmonise with the purpose of life until they learn to hear and respect the voice of the Earth spirit. Nowhere is this more crucial than in the Middle East, where the world throat chakra resides.

The Earth is speaking, and no one seems to be listening. Imagine a Middle East where Jerusalem and Mecca are world heritage cosmopoli, open to all cultures. Imagine a Middle East that is at the world vanguard in advancing the respect for all beings – human and non-human – to live, and live abundantly. From Egypt to Iran, imagine a Middle East that is culturally united, and communicating to the rest of the world the art of everlasting life. The voice of the Earth is singing the gospel of life in this region. Who is listening?

Three sites are given here as best defining the centre of this chakra. Mt. Sinai, between the other two, is a useful point from which to construct the expanded circle. The Immortal Moses, who carried Cabalistic wisdom from out of Egypt, crossed the abyss and beheld Living Eternity at Sinai. The Great Pyramid is one of the few artificial earth chakras. Unite your own True will with the Highest Purpose of the Earth and, with energised enthusiasm, project this united force as a living word from out of the Queen’s Chamber of the Great Pyramid – or from the summit. The Mount of Olives, on the eastern edge of Jerusalem – overlooking the mystic Golden Gate – is a focus for Jewish, Christian, and Islamic futurism. If Immortality is the key, archetypal Word of this Aquarian Aeon, then this Word needs to be clearly heard, by all cultures, from the Mount of Olives. From here, let the Word of the Aeon open the Golden Gate, so that all beings may enter into full life within a planetary New Jerusalem – an eternal home to all species, cultures, and faiths."

Doesnt that ring with truth!

Just wanted to mention as well that here is a meditation one can use if you are attempting to connect to the Earths Chakras for the first time use it as sort of a template...once you have made a path to connect with her frequency then learn how access in your own way...know by knowing...

INITIATORY MERGING WITH GAIA

My dear Priests and Priestesses who have been dedicated to the Mission of remembrance across the span of many lifetimes, I ask you once again to journey into the core of my planet. Imagine that you are entering a dark cave. As you begin your traverse down into my core, allow yourself to absorb the heightened frequency of the Higher Light that I am downloading into the area of my body known as Mt. Shasta.

As you absorb the Light, a pathway is shown into my core that leads you to the electromagnetic vortex, which is the doorway into the Lemurians’ fourth dimensional world. Yes, the pathway is in front of you now. As you follow the pathway, it leads you to a Golden Door that is huge, as the Lemurians were much taller than present-day humanity. The Door opens before you, and you see their primordial land.

Take the Chalice of Remembrance that you see in the center of the pathway and drink deeply from it. As you walk your Path, feel the presence of these early humanoid beings of Gaia, the Lemurians.

Sense their majestic bodies of Light and their great patience and commitment to Purpose. They encircle you and draw you into their consciousness. They have waited millennia for your return, and telepathically welcome you to the world in which they have kept the Truths of LIFE.
With open hearts, they share their minds.

Open your heart and mind so that you can better understand them.
As your Essence communes with theirs, remember what you volunteered to contribute to our planetary transformation…

Slowly, through your integrated Soul/SELF, you receive the messages that the Lemurians have chosen to communicate with you…

Listen closely as the Lemurians remind you of the creations that are your Soul’s Desire to manifest…

As the ancient Lemurians whisper in your heart, repeat with them:

“The Circle is complete.
Gaia is becoming a Star.
I AM becoming a Planet.
TOGETHER, we create our New World.”

As you travel the inner passageways to the peak of the mountain, your Path becomes increasingly clear. Finally, you emerge into the Light, to BE the CREATOR that you have ALWAYS been.

Victoriously, you stand upon the peak of Mt Shasta. You reach up into the vast sky and pull down the Higher Dimensional Light of your Multidimensional SELF.

Proudly, you place this LIGHT into OUR Personal/Planetary Body.
Welcome to your SELF, dear people.

Welcome to OUR Planet.

I AM Gaia. We are ONE.”

ORBM,

I have a very real fear of using meditations and committing to a belief system. I was raised Catholic and I now have a fear of religion and being fed lies. I would love to begin using a meditation like this.... my name contains heart and earth, but I'm afraid I have given up on God/dess, love etc. I just do not think it really exists. Isn't that really sad!

Thank you for your information though on the Earth Chakras. It makes so much sense. I have been wondering for a while why the land was considered sacred. I am not sure that the reasoning behind this is because of the Earth's energy chakras and sacred leylines. People lose wisdom, they forget it or don't value it when it comes to money and power..... then it seems people's lives are worthless. What has more worth though...the lives of innocent people or the land they live on?

Part of a channeling I recieved about Egypt right now...interesting after your questioning is really what made me probe for this answer Quinnie...so i feel it is as much yours as mine..lol
Throughout the world there is much happening. Your Egyptian brothers who yearn for democracy are striving for their God given freedom, for they have been pushed to their limit and simply will not take the old ways any more. They know that it no longer serves and they demand change. The pressure that they are feeling propels them into action. You are assisting in their quest for freedom. You are transcending the anger, confusion and intolerance that weigh down the scales with heaviness. This location is under great pressure from oppressive energies that have accumulated for millennia. It is through the people that these powerful energies are being released. The world is watching while humanity takes back their power and awakenings occur on a mass level. A precedent has been set. Relax and be patient. The energy of peace is required in that location. With the veil being as thin as it is, higher energies are being directed with strength and ease to further the process of pushing out the old to usher in the new.

As for the fear you speak of Quinnie. I just want to say that the fact that you speak of yourself as having a fear causes you to have it. Your words are your decrees.
Listen to what you say.

To meditate just means to clear your mind...a visualization is a concentrated effort of the imagination to bring Energies in from a higher dimension after you have cleared you mind of polarizing thought patterns.
You cannot not deny that you have a connection to God...this is a connection to a higher dimension and a meditation or a visualization is just simply working with that Energy...in whatever way you so choose.
But I daresay to ignore it or to attach fear to it is what has gotten this world into the mess it is in now.

Upon entering the main ruins you'll cross over a dry moat and come across the first site of major interest, the Temple of the Sun. Once used as a solar observatory, this unique complex is the only round building at Machu Picchu. At sunrise during the summer solstice, the sun's rays flood through the window and illuminate the tower with a precision only the Incas could have executed. Also known as the Torreón, the temple presents a spectacular, semicircular wall and carved steps that fit seamlessly into the existing surface of a natural boulder, forming some sort of altar. Although access inside the temple is not permitted, the outside architecture is spectacular in and of itself. The temple displays some of Machu Picchu's most superb stonework, and has a window from which the June solstice sunrise and constellation of Pleides can be observed. In Andean culture the Pleiades continues to be an important astronomical symbol, and the locals use the constellation to calculate the arrival of the rains and to determine the best time of year to plant crops. Next to the Temple of the Sun is the Chamber of the Princess, and below the temple is The Royal Tomb.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pleiades_%28Greek_mythology%29

The Pleiades would "flee mighty Orion and plunge into the misty deep" as they set in the West, which they would begin to do just before dawn during October–November, a good time of the year to lay up your ship after the fine summer weather and "remember to work the land"; in Mediterranean agriculture autumn is the time to plough and sow.
