You soak them once a week and spray a Nitrogen spray once a month and they don't need dirt, Randall.------------------

I have 6. I really enjoy the suprise when guests see them growing on a curtain or lying on the foyer table.  ------------------

Air plants are Epiphytes that gets it`s nutrients from moisture in the air. Spanish moss is a common example.It is considered a parasitic plant and a fun conversation piece .  ------------------

My friend said she gets them off of trees. How cool. I don't know how to do that, so but them from Amazon  ------------------

They were everywhere where I lived in FL. I could have opened up a shop, specializing in them, just picking them off the nearby trees or blowing by on the sidewalks. Cool little ...."creatures"?....or plant life, they are. No maintinence - they live off the extreme (disgusting) intense humidity FL is well known for. Wouldn't do well in a dry climate unless they had a overly caring, neurotic Virgo sun caretaker that misted them constantly. I miss the freaky little buggars. Lol  IP: Logged |

Hay T  I only knew they grew in TX but now am educated on the south now . Sometimes they dry out but a spritz and they come back . ------------------
