I've relocated 5 babies last year, and two so far this year. That big mama is too hard to catch. Even with tempting huge juicy red strawberries for bait. Anyone know the lifespan of a woodchuck? She can't have too many more years in her.

I should have a bumper sticker that reads:
"Save a garden - Relocate a groundhog"

My friend has done the same by relocating 4 babes this spring .
Except for the onions and potatoes, the little family decimated her entire garden last summer.
Now she is reloading Havahart with melons to lure Mom & Pop.
Like many of the underground mammals, life span is probably 5-6 yrs

They live on average for 6 years.

I've never seen one.

Six years !! Count down continues. If we let Mother Nature relocate big mama to the after garden it shouldn't be too much longer. Yippee.

Haven't seen them for several weeks. Looked up animal totem and groundhog medicine also has to do with boundaries.

It's seems the boundary issues have disappeared with the groundhogs gone and the bindweed gone. The neighbor has been keeping his dog from crapping on my lawn. My Ex is not pestering me or making demands anymore. Life is good.
