After printing my chart from astro.com, I see that it looks very empty. I have 6 empty houses to be exact, including the 1st and the 12th. Why would I choose this chart?

I also have (I'm a novice, so bear with me) a conjunction of Pluto, Uranus, and the moon in the 11th house. (Pluto and Uranus are both retrograde, if that means anything). There are many odd things about my chart I don't understand. (Odd to me, possibly normal and boring to astrologers).

Can anyone help me? I'd really appreciate it!

Thanks!
Love and snugglebunnies,

Katiebull

Hi Katiebull
Having empty houses is not a bad thing - so don't worry about that. Everyone has some empty houses in there natal chart.

Have you signed up for our free astrology course? It starts on 15th Oct. If you haven't already signed up for it, just send Randall and email and he will arrange for you to have access to that forum.
You'll learn a lot and it will be fun.

Do you have a hemisphere in your chart with greater numbers of planets?

the north, south, east, west?

Hemispheric placement means different things.
Ex: If the number is all in south the person is entirely objective; thus, he is concerned with the practical and the visible.. "James T. Hayes" Introduction to astrology.
There are more , I don't have time to list them all right now. But give me yours and I will see what I can do...

Looking at the chart, I have 7 planets very close to each other from the 6th to the 8th house. 3 are in the 11th, 1 in the 10th and 1 in the 2nd. Thanks for you interest, Mary.

Thanks Cat, I think I might just take that astrology course...then I can understand some of these threads!!

Hi Katee
Yes. Do sign up for the class - you just study in your own time.
To email Randall - go to the "Free For All" forum. At the top left hand side you'll see it says "moderated by"....
Click on Randall (it's in blue) and you'll be able to send him an email. Just ask if he'll add you to the course.

Because you have more planets in the western hemisphere:
The subject is never the
real author of his/her own destiny; he/she needs someone to start him/her off.

Northern also has more than southern:
The subject is completely subjective;
thus, he/she is concerned primarily with the spiritual and the invisible.

This is the part I need the planet for; To look it up on the chart of Adjectives to place in the blank.
If you turn your chart so that 12 is the asc.- you will see that 1/2 of the chart is filled with planets and one planet is alone on the other hemisphere....
This is called a Bucket or type IV

The subject will direct his/her efforts toward a single purpose; and his/her inclinations ( ) will be especially active.
He/She has a compelling orientation to the whole of life and places a srtong emphasis upon self-projection.

Hey Mary -

I apologize for butting-in, but it seemed like you'd know -
Would a chart with the 8th, 9th, and 6th Houses empty
(1 each in the 1st-5th & llth and 12th w/ 2 in the 10th)
be a Bucket type? A splay?
If not, what?

Thanks,
Corri

Hi All

Mary, is it the top part of the chart that you are refering to? That is the southern hemisphere isn't it?

Mary,

Neptune is the planet in my 2nd house (in Scorpio).

Saturn, True Node (?), and Chiron in the 6th house. (all in Aries)

Venus and the Sun in the 7th house.(both in Taurus). Venus is the only planet unaspected.

Mars and Mercury conjunct in the 8th house.(both in Gemini)

Jupiter in the 10th house in Leo.

Pluto, Uranus, Moon conjunct in the 11th house (Virgo).

I really appreciate your help!

These things are done Intensively and often secretively (scorpio)

Mary -

Yup, sorry - I've been terribly unclear lately. Er, more unclear than usual.

1st - 1 planet (uranus)
2nd - 1 planet (neptune)
3rd - 1 planet (moon)
4th - 1 planet (merc)
5th - 1 planet (sun)
6th - 0 planets
7th - 1 planet (venus)
8th - 0 planets
9th - 0 planets
10th- 2 planets (mars & jupier)
11th- 1 planet (saturn)
12th- 1 planet (pluto)

The 5th house Sun is near the delineation between 4th & 5th, so if you look at the chart itself it seems a bit more empty there.
The pattern seems kinda in-between-y to my inexperienced eye, so I was confused.

Thanks Mary!

Proxie, do you know the degrees of separtion
for the planets in the Western hemisphere.

Because it could be one of two types and I don't want to give you the wrong information, Honey.

If there is a 60' and a 90' it is a
see-saw ....If not it is a splay.

If there is a separation of 60'between Venus and the Sun and a separation of 90' between venus and mars.(or venus and jupiter)whichever planet is closer to venus. Hope I made that clear enough???
If not can you e-mail me a copy of your chart, because I am kind of confussed too???

Actually, I'll just post a link to the chart on astro.com.
I'll create it seperately from my acct so you don't have to worry about my paranoia.

Ok, here we go...

I will have to say it is a splay as it can't
be any other type, after calculation of course. It did confuse me till I had the actuall chart..

So, Splay is :

The subject has the ability to entrench herself into her own stronghold so that she always has something to which she can always turn in times of stress. She is likely to be a sturdy person and can be a ruthless one.

South has more planets:
The subject is entirely objective; thus, she is concerned primarily with the practical and the visible.

East has more planets:
The subject can dictate the course of her own career and life quite completely.

Wow - I had no idea I could be such a tough, hard-hearted person (although it does explain a lot...).

Thanks! I was completely at a loss on that one (since I didn't know the actual degrees involved and was just trying to eyeball it).

MARY,
Wow! You seem to be quite the guru, you've hooked me with interest!
If you have time, could you help me?
I have almost all my planets right next to each other and I would like to know the hemispheric meaning?

Neptune mostly in 7th, tip in 8th, all Sag
Uranus in 6th, all Scorpio
Venus, Mars, Pluto nearly on top of each other in 6th, all in Libra
Sun, Saturn in 5th, Sun mainly in Leo, Saturn all in Virgo
Mercury in 4th, tip in 5th, all in Leo
Jupiter in 3rd, tip in 4th, all in Cancer
Then I have my moon all alone on the other side in the 11th, all in Pisces
So pretty much all my planets are from the 7 to 3rd houses, with concentrations in the 6th and the border of 4/5th houses.

Any thoughts or indications you might share, hemispheric or otherwise, would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanx
