Hi I'm new. I've been fooling around with astrology for a few years and have just started serious study recently. I have a question about when planets fall on the 0 degree of a sign or a house. In my first example the moon and ascendent are both 20 degrees sagi. Do interpret the moon as being in the first house or the second house (using equal house system)> My second example is a chart where venus falls on the 0 degree of sagi. Do I blend the meanings of libra and scorpio to interpret venus role in the chart?

Thanks
Kathryn

From what I've learned the Moon in this case should be interpreted as first house. Conjucting the asc makes it very strong in the chart and probably gives this person Cancer traits (since the Moon rules Cancer).
I didn't quite understand your second question....
If you do these charts in Placidus, as well, you'll see that you might get some extra information.

Welcome to the site, like you I`m new and with a Moon ascendant too
I think though compared to the other Planets Influences on the person when on or near the ascendant
Moon`s a bit of a non-event really
Just adds indecision and receptivity

Linda Goodman had it as well
Moon ascendant usually shows up through MoonFace
I`ve always hada Moon ascendant

OOPs I just read my post and it doesn't make any sense. Sorry I promise no more late night posting, when I'm too tired to read my own post and make sure it is right. What I mean is do I interprut venus as being a blend of Sagi and Scorpio and do I interpret the moon as being in the 12TH or 1ST HOUSE? There I think that makes much more sense. I read the article on critical degree and it doesn't make alot of sense to me. I also did a search on google about critical degrees and it still didn't help. Most of it referred to decantes (SP) ie dividing the houses into signs. Which I don't understand either. Any help with that. Thanks, Kathryn
